Frustrating at times!

This review, after many years reserving accommodation through the website, is our first ever negative review. Upon check in we had to wait for the keys. Apparently the keys are not available at security. We were grateful, in the end, to wait as the agent then guided us through to the apartment and parking bay. The unit itself was neat but the following recommendations should be considered by the owner. The soap dishes at the bathroom washbasin and shower. The tiles are slippery at the shower so we requested additional towels to use as a floor mat. The cleaning equipment such as broom, mop and bucket was stationed next to the bathroom basin (terrible situation to brush your teeth. The agent, upon our request, removed said items. There are no reading bedside lamps. Some of the cutlery needs to be upgraded. Light fittings loose hanging from the ceiling and flickers continuously. We paid an additional fee for cleaning. When we asked about this we were told this is a once off fee for the managing agent to clean after we checked out. We reserved this unit because of the size of the bed. It gets advertised as a king size but is in fact a queen size mattress. We had to make contact to request our refund for breakages. The agent should advise the process up-front as it is awkward to ask for the refund. The friendliness and willingness of Portia (agent/supervisor) did not go unnoticed.
