Pleasant for a stay over.

Our host and hostess were super friendly. We booked a self-catering unit or thought we did and the only problem we had was that we could not eat in the room and that there was not even a little fridge and not a dirt bin.

I'm not sure how you could have thought you booked a self-catering unit when it says quite clearly on our property profile that we are not self-catering and that there is no smoking or eating in the rooms. Before we put up this restriction on eating we would have bed sheets covered in tomato sauce and hamburger leftovers by inconsiderate visitors, which is why we had to restrict eating in the rooms. There is a table outside under the canopy to facilitate eating as you will have seen, and there is a dirt bin in the bathroom.

Disappointing accomodation.

We have stayed in many BnBs in SA, this was one of the smallest rooms we have stayed in, and certainly the most lacking in equipment, etc. We have moved on from there to an apartment on the beach in Port Alfred which is beautiful in comparison and incredibly well equipped and is over R100 per night less than York Road. There, is no refrigerator, no TV, no microwave and "no eating in the room". This is our 2nd booking, both expensive and disappointing.

Awesome stayover in Bathurst.

We were warmly welcomed by host Neville. Beautiful, comfortable room with a coffee/tea station. Accommodation is walking distance to shops and restaurants. The property has a magnificent garden. Do yourself a favour and walk around the garden, such a beautiful serene setting. Absolutely bliss.
