We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our reception was friendly and our room fantastic with the most beautiful view of the sea and badgers walking around. The bed was comfortable with nice pillows. Fabulous location, comfort and service.

Firstly, this hotel's location is excellent, being just a short stroll from town and with ocean views. There is secure parking on site and the service we received overall was first class. There were a couple of downsides for us though. Our room was on the first floor - a relatively low level first floor - facing the sea, which meant we had a great view, but also meant that, with the curtains open to enjoy the view, we were 'in view' of passersby. So we had a bit of that goldfish bowl feeling. Next, the room felt slightly claustrophobic to us, because the two porthole style windows are non-opening, and we felt wary of leaving the balcony sliding door open during the night, for safety reasons. There is air conditioning though and I'm sure some visitors will find that a more than adequate substitute for opening windows, assuming the noise and propelled cold air is tolerable. Despite these minor issues, which are subjective of course, I must stress our overall experience was enjoyable. The room was very well appointed with modern lighting, high quality bathroom fittings and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts are first rate too!

We booked accommodation at 7 on Marine in Hermanus over a long weekend, and were fortunate to secure accommodation. The reviews on 7 on Marine were very good and this assisted us in the decision making. We had a courtyard facing room - looking out to the Overberg Mountains and the room was spacious, comfortable and met and exceeded our expectations. Within safe walking distance to the town centre, where we walked to for dinners and walked back without incident. Breakfast served was always fresh, healthy and satisfying. Well done to the team who welcomed us on arrival, the staff ensuring the room was clean and presentable and the staff at breakfast always with a smile and happy to serve.
