Great stay! But not sure it is worth the cost.

A beautiful commercial lodge! We enjoyed our stay - the food was delicious and the accommodation is stunning. We did feel that the service wasn't great for the price you pay. The staff seemed inexperienced and struggled with 'out of the norm' orders. The arrival greeting was great, but thereafter the reception service was slightly disappointing. The game drives were stunning and we were lucky to have a lovely bunch of people on our game drives, but it is worth keeping in mind for future travellers that you may get paired with loud people and you drive with them for your stay. We also had some odd occurrences, like the turn down service arriving at 9pm each night - not sure if that is the norm but it was slightly odd. Despite the above, it was a lovely lodge in the Pilansburg and we really enjoyed being there and having the time to relax.
