Description
Ai-Aiba -The Rock Painting Lodge is dramatically set against imposing granite boulders in the foothills of the Erongo Mountain range. The rock formations are steeped in history, and are the eroded remains of a volcanic complex approximately 130 million years old. Famous for its countless rock painting sites, Ai-Aiba is a mystical exploration of nature.
Ai-Aiba Lodge forms part of the 200 000-hectare Erongo Mountain Nature Conservancy, which is located 249 km from Windhoek. The gravel road to Ai-Aiba -The Rock Painting Lodge is spectacularly flanked by the Erongo Mountain range.
Accommodation is offered in 10 African-inspired chalets made up of 20 rooms. Each tastefully furnished room is air-conditioned and equipped with a safe for valuable items. Each room has a private patio and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet.
The lodge comprises a main building with a thatched roof dome, which hosts the welcome area with reception, guest lounge, public bar and restaurant, which can seat up to 50 guests. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The swimming pool is surrounded by a deck with sun beds and next to it is a shaded area with a table and chairs.
