Description
Apollo de Karoo Tented Camp is situated in the Onder Karoo close to the Tankwa National Park and Sutherland. It offers lovely accommodation, ideally suited for a family or group of friends looking for a breakaway in the Karoo.
Accommodation is offered in 6 permanent tents, a Tiny Secluded Cabin, and an A Frame Unit.
The permanent tents can accommodate up to 2 guests in each. The tents make use of ablution facilities comprising bathrooms with 3 showers that get hot water from gas geysers and 3 flushing toilets. Guests have access to a communal kitchen and braai facilities. Bedding and towels are provided. There are platforms next the tent for guest to sleep under the stars for part of the evening. Wi-Fi available.
The cabin is suited for 2 guests and is furnished with a fold down double bed, an adjoining bathroom fitted with a hot water shower and toilet, and kitchen counters with cooking utensils, a 2-plate gas cooker, and a fridge. Bedding and towels are provided. The unit features braai facilities, an outside bath, and a roof deck where guests can sleep under the stars for part of the evening. There is no Wi-Fi at the cabin, however Wi-Fi is available at the tented communal area.
The A Frame Unit can accommodate 6 guests and is furnished with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan lounge and kitchen. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with a double bed and 2 single beds. There are 2 sleeper couches in the lounge area downstairs. Bedding and towels are provided. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin, and the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge, and cooking and eating utensils. Outside braai facilities are provided. There is no Wi-Fi at the A Frame, however Wi-Fi is available at the tented communal area.
There is a pool at the clubhouse and a small splash pool at the tented camp is available to guests.
The area is ideal for joggers, hikers, and mountain bikers, or for guests who want to relax and enjoy the Karoo.
