House Rules

Please take note that pets are not allowed. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any extra people in the units, if a unit e.g. accommodates 4 people; is this the maximum we allow; we do not have extra beds; and do not allow extra people in units.

Kindly be advised that our indoor heated pool is temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding; however, the "Pretpark" remains open, offering alternative swimming facilities for ATKV Hartenbos guests.

Please be advised that we are a family-oriented establishment. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all accommodation units and buildings throughout the property. In accordance with the law, guests may face fines for non-compliance. Should smoking occur within the accommodation units, a R1000 fee will be charged to cover the costs of deep cleaning and any potential loss of income due to the unit's temporary unavailability. Additionally, the use of “Hookah” or "Hubbly Bubbly" pipes is also not permitted anywhere on the property.

- You will adhere to all terms and conditions as well as the resort rules.
- Accepted credit/debit card payments: VISA, MasterCard and Diners Club International.
Visitors are not allowed.

- Additional guests, other than those stated on the booking is not allowed.

Upon arrival you will be:
- Required to complete and sign the resort’s indemnity form.
- Camping sites will be issued with a vehicle permit.
- Group bookings apply when six or more accommodation units or camp stands are booked. No group gatherings are allowed between units or camp stands. Groups are required to book a hall or lapa (subject to availability).

Paying for extra charges:
- Bookings allow for 1 vehicle per accommodation unit/camp stand. An additional fee is payable for extra vehicles.

- Due to escalating incidents of fraudulent electronic fund transfers (EFT), we require that EFT payments are made at least 2 days prior to arrival. In the event that your payment does not reflect in the Hartenbos bank account upon arrival, you will be required to pay the outstanding amount. The necessary refund will occur if and when the payment does reflect in the Hartenbos bank account. No keys or permits will be issued until the full account has been settled. Cheque payments are not acceptable.

- Check-in time for accommodation units and camp stands is from 14:00. Check-out time is 10:00

- Smoking in accommodation units is strictly prohibited.
- No tents will be allowed next to any unit.
- Guests using our camping facilities must please bring their own power point adaptor and portable braai.
- The standard size per camp stand is 10m x 10m. Your vehicles, boat and caravan must fit onto your specified campsite (and may not overlap onto adjoining campsites). No sleeping in vehicles will be tolerated.
- No pets of any kind are allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.
- Tariffs include entrance to our Amusement park and discount at our heated pool. You are required to pay additional fees for the use of the amenities, including the waterslides and adventure golf. Refer to our website for the tariffs as well as the times for the heated pool.
- Own swimming towels and dishcloths must be provided. - No music is permitted at the resort from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment. Please consider the other guests by keeping noise levels at a minimum. Should we receive any complaints at any time regarding loud music or behaviour, you will be requested to behave appropriately. Failure or refusal to adhere to the rules and values of the ATKV may result in you being asked to vacate the resort and you will not be entitled to any refunds. Silence must be maintained between 23:00 and 07:00.
- Guests who leave the resort prior to the date of departure for any reason will not be entitled to a refund or discount.
- No motorbikes or ATV 4-wheelers are allowed at the resort.
- Only accepted swimwear will be allowed.
- Please note that during our out of season midweeks, there may be conference and or school groups at the resort. For more information in this regard, please contact reception.
