AVO Cottage

Awesome business and leisure visit.

Fantastic hostess (and her mother) made our stay memorable. Avo Cottage is equipped with everything necessary for business as well as leisure travel. A major bonus is the safe, off-street parking and no load shedding!

We felt immediately at home. What a wonderful place. Tracey, is an amazing host. She makes all very comfortable, and assisted with our retired geriatric Labrador in such a containing manner - I haven't experienced such unconditional hospitality.

Stil en rustig, maar die eenheid kort onderhoud.

Blyplekkie is kompak en oulik, heel veilig en stil met alles wat nodig is. Gasvrou is baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Parkering is veilig in ’n toe garage. Die eenheid is netjies, maar is lanklaas behoorlik skoongemaak en kort dringend onderhoud. Die houtvensters en deure maak moeilik oop en toe, daar is geen diefwering nie en die vertrek kort ’n goeie laag verf binne (mure dop af) en die blinders in die badkamer is stukkend. Die stort kort ’n goeie skoonmaak en herseël. Buitesitplekkie is mooi en privaat, maar die stoele is nie meer stewig nie en het nuwe sitoppervlakke nodig. Nie slegte verblyf nie, maar dink dit kan verbeter word met bietjie aandag.

I had a wonderful peaceful stay at the Avo Cottage.

The stay was great, I liked the fact that the room was cleaned every second day. The shower door opening is a bit tiny for a big guy like me, but everything else was great.

Stay was very nice but needs some upgrading. 1) Room has damp. 2) Bar fridge is too small and very uncomfortable. 3) 2-plate stove is tripping and dangerous; it needs a proper stove. 4) Bath and hand towels need to be replaced; they are very old and uncomfortable to use. 5) The room was not a 2-bedroom. It was a single room with a double bed and a sleeper couch.

Comfortable stay.

We found the place easily. The parking was secure and under cover, a big plus as the day was quite hot. The main room is nicely laid out and the bed was firm but soft, just right for us. We did not prepare any meals, but the kitchen looked adequate for a short stay. We did make tea and coffee, and they supplied enough tea and coffee to have with rusks. They even had rooibos tea. We found the duvet too hot and asked for a top sheet, and it was supplied. The bathroom was great, although the shower cubicle is a bit small (about 0.75 x 0.75 metres). The area is nice and quiet.

I had a fantastic few days in Cape Town!

The accommodation was very comfortable with everything I needed. The location was ideal for seeing my daughter.
