Die privaat binnetuin was regtig spesiaal.

Netjies en met vriendelike personeel.

Kon slaap, maar nie soos geadverteer nie.

Die kamer was geensins afgerond soos in die foto's nie. Die stort was 'n nagmerrie om warm en koud te balanseer, en die stort het net soos 3 klein straaltjies gespuit. Die motor moes buite staan een aand, want daar was nie parkeerplek beskikbaar nie.

Aangename kuier.

Parkeerplek 'n probleem omdat jy soms ander mense moet vra om hul voertuie te skuif as jy wil ry. In- en uitry soms baie moeilik. WiFi-sein baie swak. Personeel vriendelik en geriewe mooi.

Overall it was clean with a nice garden area and beds were comfortable but we were disappointed as we accommodated on different rooms to those booked.

We had specifically booked to stay in the loft as we were travelling with two parties and wanted to all be together. When we arrived, we were told we had been moved into some other rooms because the WiFi was not working in the loft. I don't feel it was as nice for our our group because there was no lounge and the kitchen was poorly equipped - eg no glasses, no ice. Also there was no toilet paper in the one bathroom. As it turned out, the WiFi didn't work in the rooms we were moved to anyway so we could have stayed in the loft. There was no one on site to assist with queries and the two contact numbers given, including the emergency one, went straight to voicemail.

Algehele omgewing. Ontvangskantoor lyk soos 'n straatkafee. Nie soos dit op die foto's lyk nie.

Exactly what we were hoping for and more.

It was a lovely, clean and spacious cottage with an awesome garden. We felt so at home there. Lovely for a family. The only thing that was a slight negative is that the only bathroom was an on suit of the main bedroom. We were 3 adults sharing the cottage so a minor drawback, But I'd certainly go back and highly recommend it.

Convenient

We had a lovely stay at Bartholomew's Loft. It was convenient and easy. They were very accommodating for me to check out later as I had to wait for the students to finish their NBTs. Will definitely recommend and stay there in future. Thank you.

Lieflike eenheid met 3 kamers. Skoon. Goeie ligging. Vriendelike diens.

Ons het as 'n groep pelle hier kom bly en die eenheid was mooi versorg. Kamers was skoon en gemaklik. Die handvatsel van die toilet was gebreek so moes dit gereeld self regmaak. Die kombuis was ruim en het als gehad wat mens kort. Ongelukkig het die stoof jou geskok as jy 'n pan of pot gebruik het. Selfde met die elektriese ketel. As jy die ketel sonder skoene wou optel, het jy ook geskok. Anders as dit, was dit gerieflik en naby aan als.

Netjies.

Alles was daar wat ons nodig gehad het.

Plek baie ruim met baie spasie en veilige parkering, maar plek was nie baie skoon nie en die kommunikasie was nie baie goed nie, kon ook nie 14:00 inboek nie omdat hulle nog besig was om skoon te maak, maar andersins geen klagtes.

The lady at reception was very friendly. The room was clean and neat.

I enjoyed myself. The place is nice and cosy.

Pleasant stay in a very nice unit.

Well designed and furnished unit, very clean and classy style. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of security measures, so I felt quite safe, but it does reflect the general level of crime in the town.

Het by hul ander blyplek tuis gegaan.

Dit was baie veilig en stil area waar ons gebly het. Baie lekker eenheid. Veilige parkering. Naby winkels en skole. En volledige DStv.

One of the best places to stay in Grahamstown, always so comfortable and homely.

Bartholomew's Loft is definitely one of our favourite places to stay in Grahamstown. Our last stay was in the Courtyard Suite which, as always, was spacious, homely and with all the extra comforts one would need. The service is always great and I love that the building is located in the older area of Grahamstown, surrounded by settler cottages.

Dis 'n baie keurige gastehuis, die plunger en koffie was 'n bonus!

Perfect for our needs.

We were staying in Grahamstown for a child's sports tour, and the self-catering option was ideal. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of hot water, the kitchen was well-equipped. There was plenty of safe parking space for our (large) bakkie. I would definitely stay there again. The only minor complaint I have is that we could hear the neighbour's TV playing next door.

Wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The only problem is that there were spiderwebs on the windows and tissues under the dresser in the bedroom.

Charming venue and helpful staff.

A charming and innovative guest house with some well considered extras. Some of the furnishings could be upgraded but in all it was clean and neat.

Na 2 jaar se soek na verblyf in Grahamstad sal ons nooit weer by 'n ander plek gaan bly nie. Baie dankie!

Most enjoyable stay at the Loft.

We had a most wonderful stay and the loft is fully equipped with all that is needed for a comfortable stay. Absolutely not going to stay anywhere else when we travel to Grahamstown again.

So homely

I was really impressed and surprised with the accommodation. What an absolute pleasure to have stayed at this establishment. It has such a character of it's own and the photographs do not do the establishment justice. It was a home from home and has all the creature comforts, the kids also enjoyed the homely feeling whilst taking a break from boarding school. I could cook and relax in the nice small garden which makes a big difference during a stay over. Thank you so much, see you soon again.

Dit was 'n plesier om daar te slaap. Die plek was smaakvol en baie skoon. Ons was vriendelik ontvang en wou vroeg die volgende oggend vertrek. Daar was iemand aan diens 6:00 om die hek oop te maak.

Baie lekker gebly.

Die ontvangs was nie tip top nie. Ek sou sê die ontvangsdame kon ten minste saam met jou geloop het na jou eenheid toe. Ons kon ook aangebied het om te help met bagasie.

Netjies en veilig.

Ek dink absoluut niks van Grahamstad nie. Die toerisme-kantoor was gesluit op die vakansiedag. Die pamflet met inligting oor wat om te sien, dui aan dat die Observatorium oop is op Saterdae terwyl dit toe blykbaar geensins oop is op Saterdae nie. Dis uiters pateties! Die dame by die toeriste-kantoor sê hulle het dit ook al opgeneem met die owerhede maar dit val op dowe ore. Swak! Baie goeie diens. Kos was lekker en daar was 'n goeie verskeidenheid.

Pragtige, netjiese kothuis - keurig gemeubileer en 'n wonderlike ontbyt!

Die personeel was vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Vir sentrale verblyf was ons baie beïndruk met die netheid, skoonheid en ook die veiligheid. Ons is ook verwys na 'n baie lekker eetplek. Sal beslis weer daar oorbly!

Mooi kuierplek en kan dit sterk aanbeveel.

Baie mooi outydse atmosfeer. Ontbyt was baie duur.

Huislik, privaat en baie netjies.

Dit was heerlik om selfs met 'n besigheidsbesoek 2 dae van wegbreek te ervaar in 'n ander wêreld. Dit het gevoel soos die Franse of Italiaanse platteland. Baie mooi!

Beautiful accommodation at very good price.

The Loft was beautiful and comfortable. Parking was a little difficult in one section. The only downside was the proximity to a sleazy part of Beaufort Street. However, a fantastic place otherwise, very safe and clean, and good value for money.

Pragtige ou geskiedkundige gebou met goeie fasiliteite en goed-toegeruste kombuisie. Gasvrye ontvangs selfs op Sondagaand. Aan te bevele.

Gasvrye en hartlike ontvangs op 'n stil Sondagaand te midde van die Feesseisoen. Alles was netjies en die plek is veilig. Ons het dit geniet om daar te oornag.
