House Rules
This is a self-catering facility, and we supply complimentary rusks, coffee and tea. We unfortunately don’t serve breakfast, but to help our guest with the first morning we do have some cereal you can enjoy. You are then welcome to purchase your own eats and drinks from the shops in the area or try out the lovely restaurants in George.
Be at Rest Accommodation forms part of an integrated private household. Please respect the family’s privacy as we do yours.
Only paying and booked in guests are allowed access to and usage of the property, rooms and amenities. No exception, unless with prior arrangement with management. Any unauthorized persons will be asked to leave the property immediately.
Please be considerate to other guests by keeping noise to an acceptable level. Kindly use your discretion in this regard.
No premises, house, room parties and consumption of alcohol that leads to drunkenness will be allowed.
Please switch off any bed lamps and room lights or fans when exiting your room to save on the use of electricity. Unfortunately, we are affected by load shedding in the area, guests are welcome to use the rechargeable lights in your room and kitchen area.
Should you stay longer than a week, we will communicate with you on a date suitable for you that we will clean your room and change the linen and towels. Please use your own towels for the beach as we only supply bath towels.
Please consider other guests when using the communal kitchen and lounge area. The same applies to our self-catering unit’s kitchen:
Do not work or cut on the counter tops please use the cutting boards provided.
No hot pots/pans on the counter tops.
No water on the floor. Please clean the areas/floor if there are any spills.
No metal objects in the microwave.
Please do not leave any stoves on/meals being cooked, unattended
Kindly wash, dry and put away any kitchen appliances, dishes, and cutlery used and leave the area in the same manner and cleanliness as you’ve found it.
Please Park in the designated/appointed areas and in an orderly fashion to accommodate other vehicles next to yours.
Travel slowly, as in idle speed, when entering and exciting the premises for others’ safety.
No debaucheries or destructive behaviour will be tolerated.
This is a child and family friendly property with children playing and walking in the outside areas so please take exceptional care when driving in and out of the premises.
Check out is strictly at 10:00 on the day of departure.
This is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not allowed in or near the property please.
Please refrain from washing clothes in the units as it blocks the drains. Various laundromats are available within walking distance from our guesthouse. If needed, wet clothes or towels may be hanged on the washing line in the back garden. Kindly remove the clothes when dry.
Please do not eat in your room or on your bed as we would like to keep our linen white. Kindly use the dining room table in the communal kitchen area or self-catering unit provided.
No open fires of any nature, including candles and gas stoves, are allowed in any room or communal area.
Please inform the owners or management staff should there be any breakage or damage to any item in your room or items you might have used in the kitchen area. The damage would be assessed and discussed with you for replacement.
