Cheap when it's cheap, avoid in winter.

It's a nice place and the location and access to the beach is great. However, don't book this place when it's raining. The house needs a lot of attention and maintenance, and water was coming in through the roof, window frames, and doors in multiple locations. The baboons also seem to know exactly where everything in the kitchen is stored, and have clearly raided this house in the past. We were home invaded by a mom and her baby, and it went exactly for one thing. Keeping the door closed is not enough (she opened it with ease), it has to be locked. This is a logistical issue with young children wanting to come and go on their bicycles, us off to the shops for groceries or whatnot, and only one set of keys. We couldn't even braai, because the baboons were up and down Williams Avenue the entire week.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. The storm did cause leakages to which we will give our attention. As for the baboons, unfortunately, we are in a Biosphere where they roam freely like porcupines, steenbokkie, mongoose etc.
