Description

Ben Nevis Guestfarm offers a choice of accommodation options on a cherry farm, situated at the foot of the Clocolan Mountains, just 6 km outside Clocolan off the R708. Guests are greeted with really warm farm-style hospitality. Guests have the option of bed and breakfast accommodation or they are able to experience farm life by staying in a self-catering accommodation chalet.

Those who book in for a couple of nights of relaxation in a haven of peace and tranquility will be welcomed with true farm hospitality. There is a small camping site with space for 5 caravans or 8 tents, with power and ablution facilities provided. Alternatively, there is accommodation consisting of 2 self-catering units and 1 en-suite room attached to the main house with a private entrance from the stoep.

Ben Nevis is the first and only registered cherry cellar in South Africa that produces unique products from pure fresh cherries. Visitors are welcome to taste a range of different cherry wines and liqueurs which is truly unique. The guest farm has a tea garden, which is a peaceful, shady area where refreshments are served. You can have a braai in the lapa or cool off in the swimming pool filled with spring water. Functions and weddings for up to 150 people can also be held on the farm. There is a unique, open-air chapel, making it ideal for an intimate wedding.

There is a walking trail that is located on the slopes of the Clocolan Mountains for great outdoor activities. Spectacular views of Malutis and the surrounding areas can be enjoyed from the top of the mountain as well and the beautiful sandstone formations, distinctive features of the area. Many indigenous trees can be seen along the road and some of the names are indicated on the trees themselves. Various bushman paintings found in the mountain are evidence that the area was originally inhabited by bushmen.
