Description

The Berluda Farmhouse and Cottages are set on a large working ostrich farm situated in the beautiful and tranquil valley of Schoemanshoek at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. Berluda on the road to the Cango Caves, only 20 km from the famous Swartberg Pass, a World Heritage site. Also close by are the quaint towns of Prins Albert and De Rust.

Accommodation is offered in self-catering family and luxury cottages, each equipped with 2 bedrooms, a private braai, fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a spa bath and magnificent views. In the farmhouse there are beautifully renovated luxury double rooms each with a private entrance, spa bath and air-conditioning. There are also luxury Honeymoon Cottages that provide a self-catering option.

A huge farm breakfast is served every morning. Dinner is available in the evening by reservation only at the restaurant. On-site facilities include 4 swimming pools and extensive Karoo gardens.

Berluda is part of a large working ostrich farm and offers guests a private tour of the farm with information on trends in the industry. Other daily activities that we offer at Berluda include sunset drives to explore the unique Little Karoo and its wonders, as well as meerkat tours in the early morning.
