I had a really nice stay, the place was beyond what I've expected.

It was absolutely fabulous! It exceeded our expectations; the tiny attention to detail really made all the difference. The place was beautiful; pictures don't do it justice. Such a peaceful environment to recharge and reconnect with loved ones. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a getaway from the city. The check-in process was smooth, and the owner was always helpful. I was so sad when it was time to leave. We will definitely be back. All you need to bring is food and clothes; everything is sorted and provided by the owner, even having books and board games available. It was lovely! And I can't wait to be back.

Maybe just have a look at replacing light bulbs, some fused, especially the bathrooms and the living room, next to the fridge, making it difficult to see where one is cooking, as the shelf light does not shine directly on the countertop. And the outside light is a disco ball lol. A broom and mop were also desperately needed for cleaning up after ourselves, the mould is also quite visible in the window stalls and I was a bit disappointed about the missing fairy lights, as advertised. There was one face towel in the bathroom that had a foul smell and we ended up storing it under the basin. Other than that, everything else was conveniently accessible and we still had a lovely stay. The extra towels were a bonus. I'll definitely be back. Thanks!

Ons kuiertjie was fantasties.

Ons het baie lekker gebly, dit was net baie kort. Die plekkie was baie netjies ingerig en ons het niks kortgekom nie, want die cottage het alle gereedskap wat ons nodig gehad het, gehad, en die cottage was sentraal. Ons kon vele besienswaardighede gesien het. Ons het regtig lekker ontspan en stoom afgeblaas. Ons sal regtig Betty's Retreat vir enigeen aanbeveel.

Lieflike cosy cottage! Pragtige uitsig vanaf kamer en stoep. Gasvrou toegeeflik en behulpsaam! Het lekker ontspan en die omgewing geniet.

Betty's Retreat is altyd die plek wat ek besoek as ek net bietjie wil ontspan en rustig wees. Beslis die moeite werd.

Betty's Retreat was an amazing experience! We got exactly what we were looking for.

The place is beautiful and clean and the owner was very helpful during our stay. Pictures don't do it justice. It was nice and quiet and safe and had was what needed and wanted. It has a 2 plate stove and all the necessary cutlery and utensils that we need, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Die breek was baie nodig en ons het dit baie geniet.

Die plek was maklik om te vind. Parkering is nie baie veilig nie alhoewel ons bewus daarvan gemaak was in die advertensie. Die uitsig was asemrowend, die bobejaan in die straat het gesorg vir aksie. Ek en my vrou het die breek van ons daaglikse lewe baie geniet, die view van die berg is soos in advertensie (asemrowend), met 'n volgende besoek sal ons die dorp se kenmerke ook besoek. Lubna was netjies, skoon en alles soos ons verwag het.

Eenvoudig, gerieflik en net reg vir 'n naweek weg om die omgewing te ontdek.

Harold Porter Botaniese Tuine is fantasties en die moeite werd om te ontdek.

A wonderfully decorated, beautiful and relaxing spot.

A comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

It was a very pleasant stay.

The only two worries were the parking which is just off the suburb road and the braai which is at the back of the cottage and the two cottages braai side by side thus no privacy when braaing. Other than those two points it was wonderful.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Had an awesome time. It could do with another braai area, it's a bit one-sided. Maybe just add a TV to the cottages. Just my opinion.

Quiet area. Not walking distance from the beach, needs to drive quite a distance.

Noisy location. Very close to Clarence Drive. Basic facilities - crude electrical fittings in the kitchen. The alarm was not working.

What you need for a weekend away.

Betty's Retreat has all the amenities for a weekend away. You only have to pack your food and clothes. The cars driving pass on Clarence Drive was very noisy at times, but all the houses in Betty's Bay close to that road will experience the same sound level. Cute outside deck looking out onto the mountains enjoying your morning coffee.

Pragtige huisie tussen die fynbos, met die mooiste uitsig op die berg.

Die huisie is geleë in ongelooflike natuurskoon, omring deur fynbos en berge. Die eienaars het regtig aan alles gedink wat gaste mag nodig he om dit 'n heerlike wegbreek te maak.

Relaxing getaway. Just what we needed.

Very basic, but has all the necessaries needed to relax, like no TV and no Wi-Fi. The main road behind the premises was a little noisy, but not unbearable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility.

The place was neat, peaceful and Faldilah was super friendly and helpful. Everything you need is right there. You just need your food and clothes. I especially loved the idea of the fairy lights and the candles.

Betty's Retreat had everything I needed for a relaxing 2-night stay. It is so cosy and comfy. The beach is an easy 2 km walk away. Can't wait to go back!

My verloofde het my verras met 'n wegbreek na Betty's Retreat. Dit was nou net wat ons nodig gehad het.

Geen TV, geen WiFi en dit het my goed gepas. Soms moet 'n mens net bietjie afskakel van al die tegnologie. Ek kon die mooiste storm sit en bewonder terwyl ek op die stoep sit en skryf. Wat 'n lekker, rustige naweek. Die plek is netjies en baie goed toegerus. Sal beslis weer gaan.

Magical beyond our expectations.

Tranquillity waking up facing the majestic mountain side, surrounded by luscious vegetation with natural running water and the chirping of various bird species. We were greeted by a few toads sitting on the banks of the riverlet running under the cottage. A real piece of heaven on earth. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a memorable and blessed experience.

This place was just perfect.

Betty's retreat is perfect for a relaxing couples weekend. The view is beautiful and there is a lot to do in the area. We went on a waterfall hike and visited the penguin. You will definitely see me again.

Netjiese huisie

Baie oulike en netjiese huisie. Perfek as 'n basis vir die area verken. As jy egter wil gaan vir rus-en- stilte en lekker braai, is dit dalk nie die beste plek/opsie nie. Die huisie is ongelukkig reg bo-op die hoofweg en die pad is baie besig en die motors vlieg van vroegoggend tot laataand teen 'n 100km/h plus verby. Weens brandgevaar is die braai geleë in 'n hokkie op die hoek van die erf. 'n Bietjie van 'n eensame ervaring vir kranige braaiers. Die huisie het 'n pragtige uitsig van die berg en daar is 'n stroompie wat onder die huisie deur vloei.

Betty's Retreat was 'n oulik plekkie. Daar was alles wat mens makeer. Net die aankomende verkeer was 'n steuring. Was baie lawaaierig.

It was really relaxing and energising.

This was what we as a family needed and we really enjoyed ourselves. The place was tops, we would recommend this to everyone that wants a relaxing, quiet break. We will definitely go again! Thanks Faldelah. Great place to stay.

Modern and clean finishes inside this cute cottage. All essentials are thought of, even tea and coffee available. Lovely time!

Saw the braai grid but is there an actual braai?

Quiet getaway.

The cottage was beautiful and the view stunning. The geyser's water was not as hot as I expected, but it is hot enough to have a relaxing shower. The grounds has a line to hang your washing which is great after a day at the beach, plus I was pleased to see pegs in the cupboard. The kitchen was equipped with pots and pans and all cutlery needed. The breeze is amazing!! Loved the deck chairs and really enjoyed the peace and quiet which really clears your head!

Lovely change of scenery.

We were a little concerned for the safety of our vehicle as it was not visible from the bedroom.

Surprisingly comfortable - value for money.

We had a specific purpose which meant we only stayed during the evenings. Added to that, the weather was extremely bad. The name came into its own as it allowed us to retreat from tiring days into its warm, sheltered and cozy rooms. Everything well functional and the occasional oddity was quickly addressed.

Very pleasant.

The shower is very slippery - the water in the shower does not flow out and floods the floor. The toaster only heats one side of the bread.

Ralaxing!

Absolutely beautiful views and peaceful venue! Had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Only feedback perhaps build the driveway closer to the units in order to view the cars better at night.

All the practicalities of our stay were met by the host - towels, bedding, crockery, cutlery, plugs, you name it, she supplies it.

Very nice place just a pity it's so close to the main road which at times can get very busy.

Overall very good, neat and clean.

Die eenheid is baie netjies en goed ingerig vir selfsorg.

Iets wat seker nie verhelp kan word nie is die feit dat die eenheid naby aan die verbypad geleë is en dat die verkeer steurend is. Darem klaar dit grotendeels op later in die nag.

Ontspannend.

Die natuurskoon, berge en voëls wat in fynbos baljaar laat jou vergeet van die daaglikse gejaag. Regtig 'n plek waar jy batterye kan herlaai. Al waaraan aandag gegee kan word is die geyser se hitte. Sal enige tyd weer gaan.

The place is fantastic. Very upmarket on the inside and good appliances. Security is excellent. I hit the panic button by accident a few times on the remote and they were there in minutes. Really nice place.
