Our overnight stay at Big Bay Beach Club Apartment was truly a nice experience. Spacious, clean and neatly furnished unit. Only challenge was that the braai facilities with the outdated braai pan and a wind that scares nothing, do not help much for those with a love for braai. But apart from that, the unit was very livable. We would definitely recommend the Big Bay Beach Club Apartment.

Comfortable unit for short or long stay!
No sea view and with a wind blowing every day, all day, it's just not practical to sit outside the unit to enjoy coffee. Blown away by this unit! The enclosed patio area almost squealed when I thought there was an indoor braai - but it's enclosed and you can use it as storage. There is a broom, mop, a drying rack, ironing board and a couple of clothes irons (irons) throughout the unit. Security in front of windows and doors! It's really great - we left the windows open for a draft - and the sliding door and front door open for fresh air - no worries. The kitchen has a washing machine (bonus), 'Sunlight Liquid' liquid, sponge, dishcloths and dustpan - so handy! Extra black bags in the drawer, kitchen towel and a tin filled with tea bags, coffee and sugar bags! Small milk in fridge and 2 small bottles of water. Microwave and oven both work (I've baked peanut butter cookies in both - yes, you can 'bake' peanut butter cookies in a microwave and actually they were tastier than the oven!), bottle of sanitizer, even a coffee 'plunger'. The living room has 2 incredibly comfortable couches and 2 modern chairs (same color as the curtains - comfortable and really cute!). 2 Large fake plants in living room, as well as smaller fake potted plants in patio area and in bathroom. Absolutely brilliant! TV, wi-fi and enough plugs to charge your electronic devices. Love the large picture in the living room. Bathroom has toilet freshener sprays, liquid soap (both such a necessity) and other toiletries. When we packed, my husband asked if the tissues in the bathroom cabinet were mine - I asked him: which bathroom cabinet? I didn't even realize the mirror was actually a bathroom cabinet too! On the bathroom door as well as both the bedroom doors they have these 'gadgets' with hooks on the inside of doors - to hang towels, clothes, dressing gowns, etc. So handy! The decor throughout the apartment is brilliant! Soft gray with splashes of color. Love the duvet covers and the towels are big and absorbent. Lots and lots of closet space! A hallway closet with a hairdryer, fan heater and space for suitcases. Lots of hangers in both rooms! Master bedroom is large - has 2 bedside tables with 2 drawers and windows to the enclosed patio. The 2nd bedroom is smaller, but also very nice. The Big Bay Beach Club is 800 m from the Seaside Village. Some fantastic shops! Checkers, a bakery, a couple of coffee shops, a Cape Trading with wonderful food products, decor shop, Clicks, etc. Also a Spur, Brazen Head (Irish) and Cape Town Fish Company. It took me 10 minutes to walk - and that's with the wind blowing from the front! If you are thin, you may have a problem. The wind will surely blow you off! We didn't use the clubhouse facilities, but there is a large swimming pool, 6 community built braai and picnic seats, tennis courts, etc. To the beach will take you 2 minutes (crossing the road), but we didn't even try in this wind. Eden on the Bay with more restaurants is just a few minutes drive away. The Kapstadt Brauhaus is fantastic! German food - order their pretzel! The Big Bay Waffle Company is great for breakfast - order their The Double Trouble - it's a waffle sandwich with bacon and eggs - huge portion! We shared! The Happy Folks have an electronic dartboard game to check out and if it's your birthday you spin a wheel and win. Their Happy burger is delicious and their mushroom rocket pizza is great! Of course just a little further is the iconic Blue Peter Hotel! Amazing to sit outside - staring at the ocean and their pizzas are delicious!. This unit is perfect for business trips as well as vacations.
