Baie gerieflik en smaakvol. Beveel dit beslis aan. Ons het ons tydjie daar baie geniet. Blomme was ook pragtig. Lieflike plaasstal.

Gerieflike warm oorslaap! Sop en roosterkoek was 'n wenner! Vriendelike en innemende mense!

A great farmstay experience: hospitality, peace and quiet, and spring flowers.

Boereplaas Nieuwoudtville is especially captivating during the spring flower season. There is a farmstall in the barn that sells delicious farm-cooked soup and roosterbrood. The farm also offers a self-drive flower route with amazing diversity. The room had everything one could want, including a functional kitchenette and dining area.

It ticked all the boxes.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful environment with lots to see and do with all the roads on the farm to drive, walk, or cycle. Information on all the flowers and close to lots more sites to visit.

We had a memorable stay despite 2 issues that affected levels of comfort. The flowers at Boereplaas were a sight to behold, just make sure you are in an elevated 4x4 to navigate the roads to the flower site on the farm.

Day 2 saw us not having access to hot water and drinking water - the cottage we stayed in had one tap with safe drinking water. Alme sent out a 5-litre bottle of drinking water and a repair man came out in the middle of a storm to restore drinking water but the hot water was not restored - am sure they would have fixed had we stayed another day but it was uncomfortable not to be able to shower after spending a windy and rainy day taking in the sights in Niewoudtville. The WiFi was not functioning properly, seems that this was an area issue on the weekend (bad weather) we visited but created an issue with being able to communicate with Alme to advise of the water situation. Our stay in the Niewoudtville area was marred by bad weather which impacted access to restaurants - it is a small dorp with limited restaurants, add bad weather and some places close their doors. Boereplaas used to offer breakfast as part of their accommodation which had raving reviews, they no longer offer it because of the difficulties of cooking to order. If I could make a recommendation, I would suggest the owners consider providing breakfast-making items at a cost - it would have been a bonus to be able to make breakfast using farm produce from the farm or Nieuwoudtville area.

Stunning flowers and beautiful farm.

The accommodation is lovely and adequate for 2 people. The farm is beautiful and I appreciated the family atmosphere that a working farm creates.

All very good and cleanliness of accommodation excellent.

Alme is an excellent, helpful and informative host. The area outside the actual accommodation is somewhat untidy and a bit of ambience missing ie. the verandah and surrounds. The soup and items avaible at the Plaasstal were good.

Was lekker en blomme mooi.

Bietjie baie poue en kalkoene wat raas en mors.

Verblyf was baie aangenaam.

Kamer net soos geadverteer (puik). Gasvrou gaan uit haar pad om dit aangenaam te maak en daar is pragtige katstertblomme op die plaas.

Lekker akkommodasie op 'n regte plaas.

Skoon en netjies met baie vriendelike, hulpvaardige en trotse gasheer en vrou. Ons het lekker gaan stap op die plaas en mooiste blomme landskap gesien. Die poue is pragtig, hulle het ons net douvoordag wakker gemaak.

It was a very enjoyable evening. The rooms were clean, and comfortable.

This location offers an authentic farm experience. With sheep, cows and peacocks! We loved the place and will recommend it to anybody needing to stay over. Drawback: we were on our way via N7 to Orange River, and did not realise that there was a 15 km dirt road leading to the farmhouse where these rooms are. Also it is 65 km east of Van Rhyn's Dorp, a bit out of the way for an overnight stay on the way to Orange River or to Namibia. But an excellent place to stay when coming to see flowers or do the hikes or cycling tours on the farm.

Far out flower watching place.

Got greeted enthusiastically and never saw them again. Most modern bathroom in Namaqualand. Some people don't like peacocks. We do!

Lovely setting, friendly, helpful hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The farm setting was lovely with the peacocks that came almost right up to our doorstep. The accommodation was clean as a whistle and neat as a pin and well set out. The picnic/takeaway breakfast was delicious and a lovely touch set out in its take-away box (I still dream about it!) Elmè went out of her way to organise dinner for us (not usually included in their offering) which was well presented, generous and delicious. We really felt welcome! One small issue is noise containment from the working side of the house.

Een prachtige accommodatie met alle gewenste voorzieningen. Goed ontbijt en een vriendelijke en behulpzame host met boeiende levensverhalen. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid!
