Peace and tranquility.

We enjoyed the beautiful nature and silence at Brackenburn Trout and Trail Retreat. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Very peaceful setting, lovely and comfortable.

Unfortunately the road from Rosetta to Brackenburn leaves a lot to be desired, the worst road we have travelled on with horendous potholes most of the way!

It is a stunningly beautiful location, just a pity about the weather and electricity/wifi. House was clean and very cosy.

We love going to Brackenburn as a fishing destination. Lovely upgrades in furnishings and very comfortable beds and bedding. Unfortunately, the heavy rain experienced throughout KZN December and January made the roads challenging. Keep up the great work, especially the run and cycle tracks.

Absoluut waarde vir geld.

Van dag een af was Theresa baie behulpsaam en so gasvry. Ons kar was te laag vir die laagwater bruggie en sy het ons kom haal met haar bakkie. Die eenheid was ongelooflik mooi en so ruim en silwerskoon. Tot 'n tjokkie op elkeen se bed. Pragtige natuurskoon en beste van als, woefkind was welkom. Sal beslis aanbeveel en weer besoek. Dankie baie vir alles, Theresa.

Pragtige natuuskoon en verblyf.

Baie netjiese en skoon verblyf wat goed toegerus is. Natuurskoon is baie mooi, met uitstekende dam vir forelhengel.

Netjies en gerieflik met 'n pragtige uitsig.

Ons is baie vriendelik ontvang. Huis baie goed ingerig. Netjies en skoon. Kan verblyf daar aanbeveel.

One of the best places I have ever been to.

Theresa was such a wonderful host, the place was beautiful, clean and warm. The showers were huge, we took a walk around the area both days, the mountain was white with snow. Saturday was even better a bit warm so we had a picnic by the river, just us and nature. Took the most beautiful photos here as well. Mornings were full of frost but we didn't even feel it cause our cottage was super warm, at night we took a drive to a nearby place and played snooker and drank beer. Really loved it here a lot. Thank you so much LekkeSlaap for this place.

Ons gasvrou was baie behulpsaam. Het ons self in 'n groter eenheid geplaas. Kon die natuur geniet met hul oop gesnyde wandelpaadjies. Baie rustig en stil.

Lekker plaasatmosfeer. Berge baie mooi. Theresa was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Wonderful owners.

The owners were absolutely wonderful. Very attentive, checking every day to see if we were okay or if we needed anything. Nothing was too much for them. Due to the heavy rains they made sure to be available every time we went out and came back to make sure we got across the low-lying bridge.

A wonderful place to stay.

From the welcome to the departure, from the sights of the trout lakes to the sights around in the area, from the completeness of the cottage to the completeness of nature - it was all amazing and astounding. Thank you so much for taking care of us and we will definitely come back!

Wat 'n ongelooflike ervaring, die eienaars was ongelooflik behulpsaam en vriendelik. Dit was 'n baie koue naweek maar die huis was lekker warm en goed ingerig vir die koue. Die natuur om die huis is beeldskoon en alles is baie goed onderhou. Die area om die visvang-dam is goed versorg en maak dit maklik om reg rondom die dam vis te vang.

Perfekte wegbreek bestemming vir families wat stilte rus en vrede soek. Daar is baie plekke in die area wat besoek kan word soos die Highmoor Reserve of die Midlands Meander. Ons het ons naweek in die sneeu vreeslik baie geniet en kon nie 'n beter meer bekostigbare plek kies om in te bly nie. Dankie oom Attie en tannie Evol (die eienaars) vir julle vriendelikheid en ongelooflike diens.

Peace and quiet.

We booked a last minute weekend getaway to Brackenburn and were most pleased with the retreat. The 6-sleeper cottage is spacious and has everything one might need for a self-catering stay. The surroundings are idyllic with easy access to the trout dams, river and well manicured trails for walking or MTB. The hosts are lovely and available to assist with anything one may need. Thank you! We will return!
