Bushbaby's @ Dondini Trout Farm

Awesome relaxed break.

Bushbaby's Dondini is one of my all-time favourites. The lack of TV and lack of cell phone signal forced us to relax, unwind and catch up with each other. I got some great photos and we tackled a very pleasant hike to the Aasvoel Caves in the adjacent Highmoor Nature Reserve.

Peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable.

The Bushbaby's @ Dondini Trout Farm is comfortable and has everything one needs. It's right on the dam and has a beautiful outlook. There's another bigger dam within walking distance as well. Overall it's a relaxing, peaceful place to spend a couple of days.

Bushbaby's @ Dondini Trout Farm is a gem in the Kamberg valley of KZN. The property is well maintained even with rain almost every day. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well stocked for self-catering. The fishing was very good and dams well stocked. Vincent, the manager, was exceptionally helpful. We will be back soon with a Vodacom SIM card as MTN has very poor signal.

A relaxing weekend in a beautiful area.

We really enjoyed our short stay. The trout fishing was amazing. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely unit on the dam, with scenic views and amazing bird life! The unit is comfortably furnished, especially the couch in the lounge. Personally, I found the bed hard. But I think it's the 'accommodation standard'. There is no MTN cell reception. You'll have to drive about 5 km up the road to get reception or hike up the hill, which was really nice to do, has the best views! My only complaint is the fireplace. It doesn't work and the whole unit will smell like smoke. It was really chilly when we went and would have liked to use the fireplace to warm up. I would recommend bringing some board games to occupy your time. There is no TV in the unit and we had no cell reception. I was aware there was no TV while chatting with the lovely owner, Sue. We will definitely be back. It was so peaceful. I want to bring my best friends along with us next time, so I'll get a larger unit.

Pragtig. Naby en in besonderse natuurskoon bv. Giant's Castle, Highmoor en Kamberg Reserve. Rustig. Staproetes, bergfiets, visvang, braai, rondry — alles in die blyplek se midde. Diens is 100% en fasiliteit word baie goed bestuur en onderhou. Vriendelik en behulpsaam. Die hoogtepunt- blyplek van ons toervakansie. Paaie is bietjie van 'n uitdaging, maar die plaasgemeenskap onderhou dit self sover moontlik.

Stunning location, gorgeous views, comfortable accommodation.

The only thing I could say that was a negative, is the privacy. People fish off the jetty, and if you're sitting on the veranda, it's very close.

We had a brilliant weekend.

Bushbaby's is a lovely cottage right on a small but well stocked dam. The grounds are immaculate and the bird life is a wonder to behold. We will certainly be back again and again.

The Kamberg Road is atrocious but the arduous journey is worth it to get to Bushbaby's @ Dondini Trout Farm.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was freezing cold from the snow but the cottage was toasty and warm from the 2 very good heaters, fire place and electric blanket. It was well equipped and comfortable.

Stunning setting with beautiful surroundings, nice and quiet. Cottage very comfy and had almost everything we needed.

Netjies, gerieflik en lekker vlieghengel.

Netjiese, gerieflike selfsorgverblyf met alles wat ons nodig gehad het. Net jammer die plekkie word nie gediens nie. Baie vriendelike ontvangs en gasvryheid. My man het heerlik forel gevang in die damme (vlieghengel). Pragtige omgewing.

A Trout Farm in the Kamberg region of KZN. A small, very comfortable cottage for two adults. A beautiful tranquil setting.

I would like to suggest having torches in the cottage especially to use when load shedding happens. Second suggestion: a kettle to use on the gas oven would be great. There is no Wi-Fi or mobile signal and this makes communicating with the manager difficult. The road from Mooi River to the gravel turnoff is full of potholes. So drive to Dondini during daylight. Otherwise a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Dondini was a great surprise to us after the most horrible road that we ever travelled on!

We loved every moment of staying at Dondini but wanted to stay forever thinking about the horrible road we had to travel back on to Rosetta! Sorry, that road reminds us of the Dakar in many ways!

Saligheid! Weggesteekte juweel!

Die publieke pad van Rosetta in Kambergdistrik in is vol slaggate. Maar aan die einde wag hierdie pragtige juweel! Dis stil, rustig en jy kan waarlik batterye herlaai. Elke huisie het pragtige uitsig oor berg en damme. My seuntjie het homself vermaak met allerhande buite-aktiwiteite. Daar is lekker fietsryplek, groot grasperke, roeiboot, speel in stroom, bergklim ens. Geen TV het plek gemaak vir heerlik baie bordspeletjies. Die huisie is gemaklik ingerig met als wat jy nodig het. Heerlike kaggel vir die koue dae. My man het ook die forelvisvang op ons eie stoep geniet.

Absolutely loved our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back often.

Ek sou die volgende voorstel, wat nie in plek was nie: Daar was nie 'n besem of mop nie. Daar was nie 'n swart sak in die asblik nie. Daar was nie toiletsproei in die badkamer nie. Anders as die bogenoemde was dit 'n baie lekker en mooi ervaring.
