The tranquil and private Bushbuck Camp offers self-catering, tented accommodation in Sedgefield on the Garden Route.

Bushbuck Camp is a nature lover’s retreat with birds and bushbuck coming down to the water's edge to drink. Nestled among the milkwood trees, the bush tent sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The tent comprises of the main room with a double bed and a smaller room with a bunk bed. The adjoining bathroom consists of a toilet and a shower. The kitchen contains a fridge-freezer, 2-plate gas stove, kettle, toaster as well as a microwave, and an outside braai area is available on the deck, next to the kitchen.

Situated on a remote lake, which guests will mostly have to themselves, guests can take out the paddleboat or pack a lunch and take the canoes to explore the 2 river systems, while keeping an eye out for the Knysna Loerie and other birds. From the deck, guests can drink a toast to the sun setting over the mountains. The camp is the ideal spot to take a deep breath, and let the beauty of the surroundings settle over you.

The river mouth in Sedgefield is a stunning place to enjoy the beauty of the lagoon meeting the sea, and a walk around the island is a must. On Saturday mornings, the Farmers Market offers a variety of authentic home-crafted goods and a special farmer’s breakfast. Other activities nearby include scenic paragliding by Cloud Nine and guests can enjoy safe swimming, surfing, and lovely walks at Gerickes Point. Myoli Beach is a short drive away and is fast becoming a widely recognized kite-surfing spot.
