Overall I had a very enjoyable stay. Just two points of interest. We were placed right next to a room where renovations were being done. The noise went on for most of Saturday afternoon until about 6.30. The room was not ready at 2pm check-in time.

Ons het net 'n kort tydjie daar gebly, maar die hotelkamer was skoon en netjies. Die minibar se pryse is net baie hoog.

Dit was wel aangenaam.

Daar was nie probleme om in te teken nie, hoewel tydsaam sowel as die uittekening aangesien hulle eers moes seker maak van enige skade.

Memorable, extravagant.

Enjoyed every moment I spent at Cape Town Lodge Hotel. I would definitely be staying in the hotel on my next return to Cape Town. The location of the hotel is excellent.

It was just okay.

It was okay, not the best hotel I've stayed in. It's very basic. I don't see how they have a 4-star status when the TV is an old flatscreen with half the channels not working.

Worked for one night stay.

If you need to stay in CPT central for one night, this is perfect. The parking is a huge issue, but it did get sorted at the end (you have to pay R100 per day extra if you want undercover parking). The towels are very small and thin, and you can hear the humming of the air conditioners throughout the night, even with the balcony door shut. The restaurant is top class, and the coffee is strong!

Bekostigbare hotelverblyf.

Bietjie raserig. Saterdag nm en Sondagoggend hamerkap. Mengsel van African curio en colonial chic werk nie vir my nie. Dink clientele is hoofsaaklik locals. Lekker deel van die stad waar alles anders onbekostigbaar is.

The hotel is nice and close to surrounding areas within the CBD.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Neat and clean, but the only not-so-nice experience was that upon arrival my booking did not show on the system. Having to contact the booking agent from the website who was extremely helpful. The R200 fee which you have to pay upon checking in is a bit on the downside for me as they want you to pay cash (which nobody walks around with) or pay by card and this will then be refunded after seven working days. The parking system can also be better managed.

The stay was okay, upon arrival the staff was very unfriendly and impersonal.

The stay was fine. We really enjoyed it. The hotel needs to fix the following: 1 Do not disturb tag because someone just entered my room when I was sleeping. 2. Snacks that are in the room prices are unreasonable, imanging 500ml of water with the price of R30. I bought this on the flight with R15. Please fix this.

Perfect for if you got to get to VSF for visas as it is just 2 blocks away from hotel.

Make sure you have R200 cash for the deposit. The hotel does not refund your credit card.

Was a great experience, helpful staff and loved the almost 'old-world' feel - was a cosy and upmarket stay in the middle of Cape Town.

I would happily recommend it if you need a place to stay in Cape Town CBD that doesn't break the bank and yet provides high-quality service and accommodation. Even though in the CBD with a somewhat bustling nightlife about, one didn't hear much or anything of it and had a great night's sleep. Loved the smart-looking porter and the ice machine and shoe shine machine in the lobby was a funky addition. The parking on the first floor was a bit of a steep incline if you don't want to leave your keys with parking attendants on the ground floor - I think a car with a towbar might scrape so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, it was a delightful stay and I look forward to returning at some point.

Much needed mini-break.

Nicely located accommodation. The buffet breakfast and the excellent waitron's service was a winner. The restaurant, while cosy and romantic, was overpriced and the food was sadly not up to scratch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

Goeie waarde vir geld!

Het baie lekker gebly, ontbyt was heerlik met 'n groot verskeidenheid. Onthou onderdakparkering is R100 p/dag ekstra wat ek voel baie billik was. Dan is daar ook 'n R200 deposito per kamer indien die "cashbar" gebruik word. Jy kry dit terug indien jy nie daarvan gebruik maak nie. Vat verkieslik die R200 kontant saam, aangesien dit tot 7 werksdae kan vat om terugbetaal te word indien jy met jou kaart betaal.

One night break from kids. We got what we came for: privacy and peace and quiet. Thanks for the upgrade.

On check-in we were upgraded to a loft suite which was perfect as we had direct access to the pool. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we did not get to enjoy it. We had a smooth check-in process and a peaceful stay.

Vriendelike diens. Ontbyt was lekker. Kamers is netjies, skoon en gemaklik. Ons besoek was in die week en ons het lekker geslaap. Die area was veilig met baie sekuriteit wat in die strate loop en baie behulpsaam is.

The hotel is great, staff are also friendly.

The room is really cosy. We didn't have the outside view of Cape Town this time, but the stay was still awesome. We had a little balcony.

Die hotel is netjies, warm in karakter en lewer effektiewe diens. Dit was nommerpas vir ons behoefte.

Baie goed! TV in kamer is wel nie op standaard nie.

Baie netjiese hotel met vriendelike personeel. Die kamer was perfek skoon en hulle het seker gemaak ek kry 'n kamer met 'n mooi uitsig. My enigste teleurstelling was dat die TV in die kamer glad nie op standaard is nie. Daar was net 'n paar kanale op en meeste van die kanale se beeld was so swak mens kon nie daarna kyk nie.

Ons moes vir 'n week oorbly vir werk!

Die hotel het in vele opsigte dinge soveel makliker en gemakliker gemaak! Die drie superieur dubbelkamers wat ons bespreek het, was heerlik ruim, baie netjies, skoon en 'n mooi interieur, met alles wat ons nodig gehad het!

Lekkerste ligging, lekkerste waarde!

Die hotel is lekker geleë in die veilige gedeelte van die middestad. Stap oorkant die straat en jy is in die Bo-Kaap! Maklike toegang tot alle aantrekkingspunte, baie skoon, modern en netjies. Die kamers op die 9de vloer het die beste uitsig en kamers is baie gerieflik! Restaurant het elke aand live jazz-musikante en die ontvangs is altyd behulpsaam en baie vriendelik.

Indicated on the website that we will require a baby cot, but when we got to the hotel, we were told they were not told to put one in. Had to wait until the next day for it to be set up. The rooms were clean, but the windows were not. I assume it was because of the wind and the rain on the previous days, but it made the view from the 8th floor look blurry.

Got what we paid for.

Not wow, but not bad either. Just 100 % as we needed.

Great location and value for money for the area.

Perfect location for city centre activities, pubs and restaurants. Friendly staff and the shuttle was convenient and well-priced for a group of us. Onsite bar was great. Breakfast buffet needs work, most of the food even in the warmers was cold, not worth the R150. Room, bathrooms and shower also need an upgrade. 4-Star hotel and amenities but 3-star rooms, but for the price and area it's well worth it.

Good service.

Other patrons were a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning. Probably only settled at 04:00 or 05:00. We decided to leave at 07:00 because we could not sleep after 01:00.

They have to be more specific on what you need o have upon arrival, I was so shocked to hear that I must have my ID upon arrival.

Surprised, but also frustrated at times.

Positives: Free Wi-Fi (website mentioned you will need to pay for this). 9th floor swimming pool. In-house restaurant (Famous Butcher's Grill). Negatives: Booked a Superior room with a king-size bed, but got a double bed instead. Cocktail bar being advertised by the pool, but there was none (even on the in-room TV on CH 6 they still advertise the cocktail bar by the pool). R100 per day for underground parking. Parking is a nightmare and if you happen to park on Level 2, then you dread going to your car to fetch something as you need to walk up a 60 degree angle ramp. No cocktail being offered at the ladies bar. No aircon in the hotel! There are airconditioners in your room though.

Very good and enjoyable.

It was great to stay at Cape Town Lodge hotel though they show a pool not mentioning that its Closed due to winter weather. Otherwise everything was cool. And the room 736 the back door doesn't close properly and was making noise whole night.

Good location and room is exactly what we needed. Good size and bed is comfortable.

The night staff needs a slap over the fingers because they are not the most friendly bunch.

Great stay! Some hotel staff could be trained on being more friendly with guests. WiFi issue needs to be taken seriously! It's extremely slow if it ever works.

Some staff members were really outstanding. 2 ladies that assisted us were super professional and friendly. Their names are Rose and Amanda. Hotel room was very clean.

The reception was not very friendly.

The reception was literally screaming to a client over the telephone, right in front of me and this happened before checking in. Me and my wife went out for a few hours and once we got to the hotel, we usually did what all the clients did and just showed them the Access Card, but was told to give it to the front desk so they could rerun my details to check if I was actually staying at this hotel.

The bedding felt really clean. Loved the king size bed! I had to pay a R200 deposit, which i did get back when we left. I do understand the reason for the deposit, it just would've been nice to know that before we checked in. I don't remember seeing it.

Niks oorhoofs fout nie, maar ons was vas onder die indruk dat ontbyt ingesluit was. Verder paar klein goedjies soos net 2 koffiesakkies wat omtrent onmoontlik was om oop te kry. Het bespreek vir een aand maar hul bespreking was vir 2 aande. Ontvangspersoneel wel baie professioneel.

Cape Town Lodge is the perfect, affordable hotel for a quick stay or business trip. The location is in the CBD and surrounded by other buildings, so you don't have much of a view if that is what you wish for.
