A perfect family rest spot! Our family of five recently stayed at Charlie's Place and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the warm hospitality and charming atmosphere of this beautiful guest house. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were cozy, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as extra blankets, toiletries, and a well-stocked kitchenette. The common areas were inviting, making it easy for us to relax together as a family. One of the highlights was how family-friendly the guest house was. There was plenty of space for our kids to swim, and the environment felt safe and welcoming. The guest house was ideally located—close enough to major roads. Our stay at Charlie's exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and convenience, making it an ideal choice for families. Overnight on route to Cape Town.

The double bed mattress is not in good condition. It's way too soft and the springs make a noise. The local dogs barked on and off all night, which was really annoying.

Overall nice stay.

Although thoroughly explained, I wish the establishment would look into the aircon availability - especially in the scorching summer months. There is also the issue of electricity - when there was a power cut (seems to be the whole of B/West) we had no water, checked out without showering as a result. Do they have solar panels?

Nie wat ek verwag het.

Dis nie wat ons verwag het nie. Die foto's en hoe dit lyk, is nie dieselfde nie. Vrou kon nie stort nie, want die gasgeiser sit vanself af terwyl sy stort. Ingang was bietjie nou en moes 'n plan maak om die trailer daar in te kry. Daar was nie 'n matrass protector nie en die kussing binne is geel. Handdoeke was skoon, maar redelik oorgebruik al.

Clean, comfortable and pet-friendly accommodation.

Very clean and comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay. The enclosed grass and outdoor seating area was a welcome respite from the heat and also ideal for the dogs to stretch their legs.

It was serene and the place is secluded and safe.

My stay was very comfortable and warmly welcomed. Everything worked, and the guidance given to us by the host was excellent.

Badkamer nie gordyne het ons ongemaklik laat voel.

Na wense, groot genoeg vir 2 mense, alles het gewerk. Maar badkamer benodig aandag, braaipan was vuil.

Lovely stop-over on way to CT from Jhb.

2nd time staying at this cosy and lovely stop-over on our way to CT, in Beaufort West. Our well-behaved pups were allowed to stay too, which helped us so much. Thanks again, Annelize.

Place was clean, and hosts were inviting and went out of their way to help us out. Would definitely recommend for people travelling between Cape Town and Johannesburg as it is a perfect rest stop. No complaints.

Moderne, gerieflike oornag verblyf.

Heerlike, gerieflike oornaggeriewe. Die swembad was heerlik en die gasheer en gasvrou was beskikbaar en behulpsaam. Ons voertuig was veilig en ons twee klein hondjies was welkom en kon vry rondloop in die omheinde area.

Aan al ons behoeftes voldoen op kort kennisgewing. Skoon en netjies!

Baie oulike plekkie. En die eienaars is baie gasvry. Sal vir seker weer van hulle gebruik maak.

Swembad was 'n wenner.

Baie gerieflike kommunikasie met die eienaars. Dis ons tweede keer wat ons hier gebly het en sal weer.

Die ligging is perfek. Veilige area en veilige parkering. Pragtige plekkie.

Lovely, secure, and clean cottage. We were allowed our 2 small dogs which was such a help to us. Would definitely come back again.

Vriendelike diens, rustige en netjiese atmosfeer. Beslis die verblyf werd! Geen beurtkrag a.g.v. sonkrag was beslis 'n bonus!

Skoon, netjies, goed geleë en gerieflik.

Gasvrou en gasheer is baie vriendelik en gasvry. Privaat met eie parkering. Stil area en baie gerieflike bed. Sal net nog 'n kombers verkies in die winter. Sal hulle beslis aanbeveel.

Troeteldier vriendelik - Lekker gebly - waarde vir geld.

Ons het lekker gebraai en geslaap. Alles was in orde.

Homely.

Was really easy to locate. The host really accommodated us as we had to leave really early to continue our journey. Never had issues with loadshedding as they have solar, as well as gas geyser. Please people, do not complain about the aircon. Due to solar power this is not operational as it's not an essential household commodity. They have a fan to use. Please compromise. Definitely worth using Charlie's Place - it's worth it.
