Staying at Chestnut Cottage was a delight. The home is very well equipped, nicely designed and comfortable. We felt very much at home during our stay. And it was lovely being so close to nature. The only thing that was missing for me personally was a sun lounger as I love to sit outside and enjoy the sun while I am thinking or writing.

Chestnut Cottage is 'n luukse selfsorg eenheid met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Die slaapkamer het kwaliteit bedlinne gehad en 'n baie gemaklike matras, wat vir seker het dat jy 'n goeie nagrus kry. Die badkamer het 'n stort en buite stort met water wat vinnig warm was, asook 'n bad. Dankie vir die lekker handseep en handeroom in die badkamer. Groot badhanddoeke was ook 'n lekker bederf. Daar was 'n haardroër by die spieel wat gesorg het dat jy gerieflik jou hare kon droogmaak. 'n Pragtige toegeruste kombuis met mooi breekware en eetgerei, mikrogolfoond en groot yskas. Die leefarea het gemaklike banke, asook 'n groot TV met DStv. 'n Pragtige buite area met 'n braai, asook sitplek om gemaklik te sit, asook 'n tafel om by te eet. Jy kan lekker afkoel in die klein swembadjie. Daar is gaas voor die vensters en deure en jy kan met veiligheid met oop vensters en deure slaap. Onderdak parkering verseker dat jou voertuig veilig en naby die huis geparkeer is, wat die afpak en inpak baie gerieflik maak. Wi-Fi was beskikbaar en het goed gewerk. Dankie vir al die lekker bederfies, koekies, hot chocolate, beskuit en vars melk. Ons het ons verblyf baie geniet en kan die akkommodasie aanbeveel as uitstekende verblyf. Die gasheer en gasvrou het aan alles gedink om vir jou 'n uitstekende, luukse, gerieflike verblyf te verseker. Ons kom definitief weer terug.

Baie netjies, goed toegerus. Goeie kwaliteit wit linne en heerlike groot badhanddoeke. Sal definitief weer daar gaan bly. 'n Voorstel: dalk net die huisnommer, met aanwysings vanaf die ingangshek tot by die huis.

Heerlik gebly. Stil, privaat. Pragtige natuur om ons.

Pragtige, skoon, netjiese moderne plek. Alles wat jy nodig het, is daar. TV met al die DStv kanale, swembadjie, in die hartjie van die bos. Stil, baie privaat.

Our stay at Chestnut Cottage was amazing. The owners have created a really practical and tasteful cottage with everything you might need. The estate is full of surprises if you want to explore, and at the same time quiet and peaceful. When my 10-year-old son says he doesn't want to leave a place, then you know it was worth it. Our stay was excellent. We are actually building a house on Elephant Rock Eco Estate and we are so happy to find Chestnut Cottage as a perfect option for us to use as it is also on Elephant Rock Eco Estate. It was extremely easy to check in and get the keys at the entrance gate to the estate, and Meka had already turned on the air conditioners and fans to cool the house down before we arrived as it was over 40°C! The house was spotless, the pool was great, and the location perfect for what we needed. Visiting the actual Elephant Rock on the Olifants river is a must, as is the confluence area to walk around. We saw lots of animals including impala, kudu, waterbuck, bushbuck, and even a grysbok. We would 100% recommend it to anyone interested in staying in the area.

It's overall just a great break away cottage, we will definitely visit again.

It's just a great little modern cottage, just what we wanted. Perfect for two couples or a couple with kids. Loved the furniture and facilities, the beds are great, the shower and bath are amazing. It was great that we could watch the rugby without needing to go to a restaurant. The road is a bit noisy but we still managed to hear some lions early morning.

Amazing place, awesome cottage almost brand new with real quality finishes and high-end fittings. Almost perfect in every way. The only negative is the traffic noise from the Phalaborwa Hoedspruit road. Otherwise, this is the best accommodation and nearly the best destination we've been privileged to get from you.

An amazing weekend.

I had a wonderful weekend in the bush, a first-time experience, and I must say I would come back again. The house is exactly as seen on the internet.

Met my expectations. Contained everything that we required.

A very comfortable stay with all the mod-cons. The weather was very hot but with fans and air cons working, the house was lovely and cool.
