A pleasant break from the city centre.

We had a pleasant staycation over New Year's Eve. Chuckelwood was very well located for our travel needs. Due to the weather, we couldn't use the pool, but it is as enticing as it looks in the picture.

Absolutely terrible. Should have stayed at home.

False advertising. TV broken/not connected (it's not even a real TV. It's a screen). No air conditioning as advertised. I suppose it's broken. No extra blankets (it was cold). No hair dryer as advertised. The fireplace is there but no instructions on how to operate a gas fireplace. Not sure if it even works. Cleanliness not good at all; at first glance it's okay, but once you start opening cupboards and using cutlery, it shows. Soap dispensers in the bathrooms (no soap, it was empty. They did not bother to refill). Lamp shade light bulbs don't work. My partner's pillow had a stinky, damp smell. He had to use the scatter cushion to sleep. Absolutely disgusting. Sadly, it seemed like a neglected property - serious maintenance needs to be done. Things need to be fixed and look neat for guests! Tap in the kitchen (hot is cold and cold is hot). Toilet bowl in one of the bathrooms was stained on the inside. Toilet seat cover was broken and loose in both bathrooms. Happiness is. Chuckelwood.

Very comfortable, classy and quiet. Woke up to an assortment of bird song. Very close to all amenities. Malls, Cradle of Humankind and the Lion Park. Lanseria not too far off. Found all to be well maintained and the decor is stylish in its simplicity.
