Absolutely lovely, the place is amazing, the landlord is a lovely person, very hospitable.

Our stay at Clivia Hill was nothing short of peaceful & tranquil.

The property itself is a picturesque retreat, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The lush greenery and vibrant blooms added to the charm of our stay, creating an atmosphere of pure bliss. However, what truly set our experience apart was the exceptional hospitality extended to us by our host. From the warm welcome offered upon arrival to the heartfelt farewell on our departure, our host went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Her caring nature shone through in every interaction, as she took the time to anticipate our needs and ensure that we felt right at home. Whether it was recommending the best local attractions or simply sharing stories over a cup of tea, her genuine warmth made us feel like part of the family. The accommodation was equally impressive, boasting cozy interiors adorned with thoughtful touches that added to the overall charm of the space. The little extras made our stay all the more delightful. We even had the spoil of freshly picked herbs put in our kitchen to use. Our children absolutely loved their time there and can't wait to visit again. As we reluctantly bid farewell to the place, we couldn't help but reflect on the unforgettable memories we had made during our time there. Om mee te begin, Gill, ons gasvrou, was absoluut fantasties. Haar oog vir detail is presies wat ons waardeer. Die plekkie self was mooi netjies en skoon. Ek kan hierdie plek regtig aanbeveel vir 'n heerlike rus en ontspanning. Die tuine en uitsigte is absoluut pragtig. Ek sal definitief weer daar besoek. Baie dankie, Gill.

Amazing stay. If you are looking to get away from the business and noise of the city, this is the place. The cottage overlooks a large dam. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Gill is amazing and made sure that we were comfortable.

The location was amazing with beautiful walks in the close vicinity. I was able to take my dog with me and she absolutely loved it too. Just a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Home from home in the Berg.

Our stay at Clivia Hill was perfect. We had everything we could desire for a self-catering holiday in mid-winter. Our host was friendly, thoughtful and considerate and we plan to visit again.

Full access to the dam and relatively close to all activities in the Champagne Valley.

Clivia Hill is a home away from home, and offers every comfort you may need. Beautifully appointed, the cottage is in a beautiful, indigenous garden, that is an absolute oasis for birdlife. Fishing, walking and cycling are all easily enjoyed from the cottage.

Gill is so hospitable and helpful, and we would love to return.

We loved the place. It is a cosy spot where to relax and explore the wonderful surroundings. Just be mindful of the not too strong wi-fi and poor telephone connection, if you need it.

Kuier geniet by Clivia Hill, die pad baie lelik maar Gill is baie gaaf en behulpsaam. Sy gaan uit haar pad om haar gaste tuis en welkom te laat voel. Netjies.

Little gem in the Cathkin area!

We stayed in the holiday home for 4 nights. Rarely have we experienced such hospitality! The owner, Gill, made the whole experience even better with her attentiveness. The house was cleaned to perfection and everything was well prepared for our arrival. We even got herbs and a flower bouquet. The layout of the house is convenient and it has all the amenities one may need, including 3 bathrooms! The king-size bed was one of the best in all out travels and we had such a good rest. The location is quiet, yet close to the adjacent damn to enjoy everything it offers. We can definitely recommend Gill's beautiful Clivia Hill.

Dit is 'n lieflike plek vir 'n wegbreek van die dorp/stad, met die dam net agter die tuin en is heel privaat. Gill is 'n wonderlike gasvrou, en doen baie moeite om seker te maak dat haar gaste toegang het tot alles wat hulle dalk mag nodig hê. Ons sal vir seker weer daar gaan bly vir 'n wegbreek.

Wonderful and beautiful!

Gill has one of the best places that the website has to offer. She is helpful and kind. At arrival, she gave us fresh herbs and when we left, Clivias to plant in our garden. The place is a rare find and a hidden gem. Ideal for a weekend breakaway or a vacation in the spectacular surroundings. We will definitely visit again, Werner and Cherezane.

Quaint, comfortable and quiet.

I thought the accommodation was lovely, it was clean and cosy. It had everything we needed. The location of the cottage is beautiful. It's positioned by a dam and has a beautiful garden. The accommodation is close to the surrounding activities and restaurants. Gill, the host and her dog, Charlie, were delightful. Gill is friendly and had some lovely recommendations.

Sal enige tyd aanbeveel! Rustig en stil vir enige een wag wil kom van die stadsgedruis. Eenheid is pragtig, skoon en baie prakties. Kombuis het beslis meer as wat nodig is. Vars kruie en suurlemoene vir jou gebruik is 'n heerlike verrassing.

Die woonstel is prakties, goed toegerus, baie goed geleë teen die Bellparkdam. Baie om te doen in die omgewing. Ons het ons verblyf daar terdeë geniet, sal dit beslis aanbeveel.

We were comfy from the time we stepped in to the time we left. It was truly home away from home. Clive an Gill are wonderful people an helpful, the rooms are neat, beds are comfy an the kitchen is equipped with everything. We were happy with Clivia Hill. It was a perfect choice and I thank Clive an Gill for their hospitality... it was truly a great stay!

Has to be amongst the best getaway destinations we've had

Very considerate and understanding hosts. From the time of confirming the booking, the directions, convenience of the place, cleanliness, privacy, accommodation, and surrounding - absolutely showcased the true meaning of peace and tranquillity. Close proximity of places of interest and activities. Confirmation of a repeat visit: a big yes!

Clive en Gill gee werklik vir hulle gaste om. Ontvangs was gul en ons "cottage" silwerskoon. Clivia Hill is geleë in 'n ideale plek waar mens kan ontspan en tog naby genoeg aan die normale besienswaardighede wat met dagritte bereik kan word. Ons het ons voorberei op die feit dat ons ver uit die dorp is, tog is daar geieflike inkopie-geleenthede. Die Valley Bakery is hoogs aan te bevele! Thanks Clive and Gill for a wonderful time!

A beautiful and comfortable cottage in breathtaking surroundings with fantastic hosts.

I loved everything about this place. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. The beds are so comfortable. Our hosts went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I loved the surroundings, but what made this place different from other places in the berg is the lake with its flat landscape, making easy walks possible. We were given some plants to take home to remember Clivia Hill by.
