Commercial Hotel

A comfortable, old world charm gem.

We stayed over for one night as we had an evening function in Hopefield and didn't want to drive the 40 minutes back home at night. What a little "old world charm" gem. The owners have kept the hotel in its original form in terms of furnishing and the public areas, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, the tea and coffee tray well stocked, and the toiletries high quality. Safe off-street parking was provided. We enjoyed a wonderful sleep in a quiet room overlooking a tropical garden. It was very convenient to walk to and from our function. We will definitely stay again.

Ons ervaring was fantasties. Kamers was pragtig en skoon. Beddens sag en meer as genoeg komberse en kussings gehad. Heerlike bad- en stortgeriewe gehad en wonderlike en vriendelike diens.

Dit was okay. Ons het ekstra betaal vir die ontbyt. R100. Nie die moeite werd nie. Hulle kan meer gee vir die R100.

Vir ons as Gautengers was die ongelooflike rustige twee dae-wegbreek net wat jy nodig het.

Everything was as shown on the pics. Host and staff was welcoming and friendly.

We received everything to make our stay comfortable. The only issue was the carpet and the stains on it.

Parts of the hotel are well-loved, others less so. It seems to be an upgrade in progress. Sound travels easily and we could hear every word from the courtyard area as well as from the guests in the passage and other rooms nearby. Our room was clean and met our requirements and the staff was friendly; but the hotel in general and the reception area lacked ambience.

Comfortable with a few concerns.

The S/C room 8 was clean and comfortable and recently renovated. Large new shower but the floor of the shower is extremely slippery. My husband slipped and hit his head really hard. He's OK but it could have been much worse. The door to the outside is also very warped and difficult to open and close. Some maintenance would be in order? Also maybe a handrail and non-slip mat in the shower?

Charming and comfortable stay.

A beautifully restored small-town hotel run by Jacques and his helpful team. We really enjoyed our room with a well-considered kitchenette and special touches. The swimming pool and garden were an extra treat. We will be back soon. Thank you!

Baie lekker en vriendelike mense.

Ons het die live band geniet, lekker musiek gemaak, nie te loud nie en baie vroeg klaargemaak, so geen steurnis in ons slaap nie.

We've stayed in the Commercial Hotel a few times already and have always had a good experience.

The hotel is typical of a small town. It has a charm of days gone by. Very peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Clean room with nice touches and a very comfortable bed.

Rural charm - nothing fancy, but warm hospitality and charming décor.

We've stayed here before and just made a future booking again. One always knows what to expect - friendly hospitality, a clean room and central location. Meals are on offer if one wants to eat in, whilst many establishments do not offer meals. Guests are spoiled with hospitality, Simply Bee soaps and shampoos too.

The little touches that show great care and consideration like the small jars of fresh wild fynbos in the room and the local soaps and lotion products that were complimentary. We loved our stay.

Baie lekker verblyf. Rustige omgewing, baie veilig, netjiese kamers. Definitief aanbeveel en ons sal weer daar gaan bly. Baie vriendelike diens.

Blyplek was netjies maar baie koud.

Dit is 'n ou gebou maar die blyplek was netjies en skoon. Daar is ongelukkig nie volvloermatte nie wat die plek bietjie koud maak in die winter. My motor moes in 'n oop ruimte staan wat toegang tot die straat het.

Swakste diens en houding.

Hotel is in die middel van die dorp. So location is goed. Bestuurder se houding is besonders swak. Ons het 5 kamers geboek. Toe die laaste mense inboek toe forseer hulle om vir nog 'n kamer te betaal. Ons het probeer uitsort met die webtuiste en hotel, maar die bestuurder was nie beskikbaar nie. Volgende oggend moes ek eers verduidelik waarom dit lyk of 'n ekstra kamer in geslaap is, het maar gewaai. As hulle daai ekstra geld so nodig het moet hulle maar hou. Oor die algemeen is daar so bietjie van tekort aan kliëntediens. Die kos was lekker maar alles vat tyd.

Ouwêreldse, rustige atmosfeer, gasvryheid is uit die boeke.

Sal beslis weer besoek. Juweel van 'n plek.

Absolutely perfect.

Had a wonderful stay at the Commercial Hotel Hopefield. Lovely little town. The owner is a friendly lovely young man. We will be back for a longer visit next time.

Weekend away stay.

Nice stay in countryside. The hotel is very clean and the manager is very helpful. He have done a lot of upgrades.

Lekker wooneenheid, kry glad nie die beknopte hotelkamergevoel nie. Netjiese kombuisie en badkamer en heerlike sitbanke om op te ontspan. Selfs buitebraai op die stoep.

Die Commercial Hotel is baie sentraal geleë in Hopefield. Daar is 'n groot kruidenierswinkel reg langsaan vir alles wat jy mag nodig hê. Die eenheid waarin ons tuis gegaan het is lekker ruim en netjies.

Dit was rustige atmosfeer.

Kan verbeter deur WiFi en TV beskikbaar te stel.
