Expansive views, excellent location, grounds and home!

What an excellent vacation rental! I was looking specifically to stay in Hoekvil as I find it to be such a hidden gem among what is already a most glorious area (the Garden Route). It's a quick drive off the N2, rising up to a quiet and quaint area. There are stunning trails, waterfalls, and river outings within a 10-minute radius of Hoekvil and the ocean is 15 minutes away. The small markets and restaurants, less than 5 minutes from the rental home, are renowned for their quality. And the home was perfect. It was one of those special opportunities that come from renting homes instead of hotels. The grounds were amazing with stunning flowers and trees and an open lawn perfect for kids and families. The ducks and goats along with the wild peacock were such a treat! The home is spacious with glass everywhere, so you feel like you're partaking in the outdoors even when you're inside. The furnishings were tasteful and felt comfortable and homey as well. I cook meals at home and loved the fully appointed kitchen. The master bedroom is a highlight with a glorious view, equal to that of the living area. I loved this place and can't wait to come back. The owners were warm, responsive, helpful and respectful.
