Description
Cottages Keerweder is one of the oldest farms in Franschhoek, established in 1692 by the VOC and granted to Heinrik Muller from Basel by Governor Simon van der Stel. While maintaining its historical roots, the farm continues to operate commercially, exporting quality produce worldwide.
Heinrik and Muller Cottages are spacious 1-bedroom units, each featuring a bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, and a terrace with breathtaking views of plum orchards and surrounding mountains. Heinrik Cottage offers an extra-length king-size bed, along with a bathroom fitted with a bath and a shower.
Muller Cottage features a four-poster king-size bed, elegant Queen Anne chairs, and a bathroom with a spacious shower. Both cottages include silent fans, hairdryers, and dressing tables with mirrors. The fully fitted kitchens come with an air fryer oven for added convenience. The living rooms are designed for comfort, complete with cosy fireplaces, smart TVs with Netflix, and a selection of games for entertainment.
Surrounded by rolling lawns and lush trees, the cottages provide an idyllic setting for a picnic with stunning mountain views. The area also offers outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, and fishing. Ideal for a peaceful getaway, both cottages are furnished to a high standard, ensuring a comfortable stay with modern conveniences.
