Just perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Very comfortable and restful. The premises has everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

We only stayed 1 out of our 5-night stay - this was due to the noise of the construction site next door which started at 8 am on Monday morning. I was very sad not to have been able to stay as we had so much looked forward to using all of the amenities such as the hot tub. The team were phenomenal in their services to us in finding alternative accommodation.

Gelukkig bou hulle nie oor naweke nie. Ons is baie jammer oor die bure se bouwerk. Dit is ook hoekom ons nou ons tarief so verlaag het per nag. Ongelukkig het ons geen beheer oor wanneer hulle raas en wanneer nie. Daar was die res van die week geen bouers.
Gelukkig kon ons julle skuif na 'n ander see front huis.
Die meeste geraas is glo nou verby en nou is dit net gewone steen lê bouers in die week.
Hoop om julle weer te sien.

Ongelooflike uitsig en geriewe. Werklik waarde vir geld. Kwaliteit met elke ding - vanaf handdoeke, potte en panne tot die dekor. Welgedaan.

Not worth it due to noise from the neighbours.

At the moment, we wouldn’t recommend staying at Die Blouhuisie. There is a major construction site right next to the house, making it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space in peace. Unfortunately, we were not informed about this in advance. We previously stayed at Die Blouhuisie two years ago and found it to be in better condition and more reasonably priced. Given the current situation, the value for money does not feel justified. That said, the local host is very friendly and responsive, which we truly appreciated. Once the construction is completed and the pricing reflects the experience more accurately, we might consider returning. Otherwise, we would explore other accommodations in St. Helena Bay, as the area itself remains absolutely beautiful.

Hello, So sorry that this is your experience. Your review is very harsh. Had I known that you were unhappy, I could have made a plan.
The neighbour did build, but the building is complete and they are doing final touches inside and paint. We were told the noise part is complete. So yes, there are people next door working during the week behind the walls. No building over weekends is allowed. The new owners are moving in sometime in March.

We have just replaced all windows and doors with new aluminium, and the roof has also been done at Die Blouhuisie. We also put in a new alarm system. So definitely improving as we go along. So I don't quite understand your comment.

Awesome, loved it!

We had an amazing 4 nights at the Blouhuisje. Our hosts were very welcoming and super helpful. They sourced us great seafood and provided helpful tips. We would love to come back someday. The house and location are perfect to enjoy the beauty of the West Coast and relax!

Great but noisy.

Although it was a great stay and a lovely house, it was a bit disappointing that there were major construction works at the neighbours and we were not informed about this. Quite an expensive stay, so it would be nice to know about it.

I am truly sorry about the noise from the neighbours' building. We were aware it was going to occur, but we were under the impression that it would commence later in the year. Hence, it took us by surprise. We have since informed all our guests and are offering a discount during the week. Rest assured, there are no builders on weekends.

Pragtige huisie, mooi ingerig, fantastiese ligging.
