Description
Die Heks se Huis is situated in Sutherland, known for having some of the clearest and darkest nights in the world, primarily due to its remote location as well as its altitude of 1,458m above sea level. For this reason, Sutherland hosts the telescopes of the South African Astronomical Observatory nearby, which includes the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT), the largest single optical telescope in the southern hemisphere.
Accommodation comprises 9 units, suited to accommodate up to 22 guests. All units come equipped with comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, lounge area, fireplace, and a kitchenette.
On-site facilities include secure parking, a braai area, and pets by arrangement.
Nearby activities include game viewing, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, and bird watching.
