Location fantastic but not overpriced.
There wasn't a table on my porch like others to eat at. Only loose chairs. There were no bedside lamps next to the beds. Regulator on gas cylinder not working, not installed. Poured either hot or cold. No barbecue tongs v wood/fire, no corkscrew for opening wine. Freezer upstairs was full of ice so you couldn't see it was cleaned. No grill or braai drum per cottage. We had to share a braai drum and pick up a grill from lapa.

Hallo Sharon, thank you for the feedback. This time of the year, the South Eastern-wind, well known to everybody, is blowing. We are situated on a farm, and after harvesting, the field is barren and you will have dust. My cleaning team actually did clean the unit the day before, again, and also, without any extra cost, came in to clean your unit and provide new bedding and clean towels. Johny did mention to us that there was some dog's hair in your shower, and that maybe was part of the reason why your shower clotted. You had your dog with you and we actually do not allow dogs, but we did give you special permission to bring your dog along. When writing a review, I always think it would be good to point out things you feel one could better, but key is to mention the extras your host did for you that was not part of the obvious. There is also a bottle opener for beer bottles, but not a corkskrew, because most wine bottle nowadays does not have corks anymore but screw caps. Sorry for not catering for the corkscrews. Kind regards, Wilinda

Beautiful stay.
We stayed in the Chicken Coop unit no 1 for one night. The unit adjoins unit no 2. It would be ideal if you are 2 couples who visit together in the two units. The unit was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The unit consisted of a living area with a comfortable couch and chairs to sit on, for watching TV. DStv with limited channels, with good reception. A kitchen, with an oven, microwave and fridge. The bedroom was separate, and had a king size bed, with quality white linen, comfortable mattress and pillows, as well as extra blankets. The bathroom was en suite with a nice large shower, sink and toilet. 2 large white bath towels were provided as well as hand soap. The bedroom had air conditioning. On the porch outside we had a table and chairs as well as a braai drum to braai in. Remember to bring your own wood if you want to barbecue, it is not provided. There was milk in the fridge as well as ice which was nice. Maybe the hostess can stick the WiFi number on the fridge, like most guest houses do, because no one gave us the WiFi code. Not that it bothered us. There is a grill tong that will make grilling much easier. We enjoyed the farm which is actually in the town, the donkeys were so tame they greeted us through the wire. We had a beautiful sunset and the silence was very nice. Thanks to the neighbor who welcomed us and came to check on us. (The hostess herself was away for the weekend). We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go again especially when the wheat is in the field and the canola is blooming. We can recommend Die Stoor for a very pleasant stay and experience in a beautiful unit.

Stoor-groete
Wilinda

A sleep over after a business function late afternoon in Moorreesburg.
There was no one on the farm who knew about our reservation. There are no indications of any reception or the cottages themselves. Once again we had to provide proof of payment. However, the accommodation is very attractive and neat. Although it is self-catering, there isn't a lot to make your stay easier. No table, long glasses, outside chairs, braai or coal tongs were available. Hot water was extremely erratic, either burning hot or freezing cold. The usual coffee, tea sugar and milk were there. However, we had a great time, braaied outside and enjoyed the stars. Will definitely stay there again.
