Ekuthuleni Hippo View Chalet is a self-catering unit located in a private complex situated on the banks of the Olifants River in a game reserve, approximately 28 km from central Hoedspruit. The reserve has free-roaming game that often visit the complex.
This free-standing chalet can accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids and comprises 2 bedrooms, a loft, and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, and the loft with twin beds for 2 children. These 2 rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower-over-bath, toilet and basin. Wi-Fi is available for guests to use.
The chalet has a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, an oven with a stove, and a dishwasher and washing machine. The open-plan living area leads out to the deck, which overlooks the private splash pool and braai area; this deck offers views of the river, which has resident hippos.
The unit is often visited by wildebeest, zebras and impalas in the early morning. In addition, the complex offers a swimming pool and 24-hour security. The complex is ideally located approximately 58 km from the Phalaborwa Gate and 95 km from the Orpen Gates of the Kruger National Park.
