Will never book it again in the future.

1. The owner of the house did not give us her rules and regulations upfront. She treated us like school children in a boarding house, with new tasks every day. No other guesthouses expect us to put out their refuse bags. No other guesthouse let us pay for our cleaner and charged us R1900.00 to deep clean afterwards. There was only one set of bedding for every room for a 2-week stay. As far as we know, we are the first guests to stay in the house, but the towels and bedding were grey, not white. The pots and pans that we were supposed to use were still dirty. In one was rice, and the other maize meal pap. There was no proper household egg lifter. Everyone likes to make themselves some eggs and toast in the morning. Although we needed to pay our own cleaner, the owner took away the vacuum cleaner's pipe and told the cleaner to use the house broom on her mother's Persian carpets. I own a few Persians myself, and I know that you vacuum them only to one side. The toilet on the ground floor was totally loose from the floor. The master bedroom's shower was leaking. When we reported that to the owner, she sent contractors to fix it, while she knew that I was alone there. The contractor arrived with four other men, and remember, I am a woman, and I was alone at home. It took the whole of our first week to do the repairs because the owner took her time to get different prices instead of finishing it all while we were staying there. Sometimes she went with them, and that felt like she didn't trust us. I think we paid a hell of a fair amount to stay there without all the problems, and yes, for all this, I think we were overcharged. This is some of my concerns.
