Ferndale Lodge

Very good location.

We were there for 7 weeks and had a very nice, relaxing holiday. Nice and quiet residential area. The house is a little older but nice. The kitchen is well equipped. Good bedrooms and very comfortable beds. Bed sheets, towels, and bath towels were changed regularly. Very nice outdoor area with a lovely terrace, nice pool, and great garden with plenty of shade. The indoor terrace area is also very nice. Our host was very nice and very helpful. Very easy to reach and responds immediately. If possible, we will come back.

We had a wonderful time staying at Ferndale for a month.

The location was fantastic and the house was roomy with a gorgeous backyard. The house is old and needs to be updated, but it was perfectly fine for our stay. Barbara, who manages the property, is amazing. She catered to our every need and was incredibly responsive. Such a pleasure to deal with. There is serious load shedding (power outages) in Cape Town, and Barbara did everything she could to help us deal with the inconvenience. We recommend the house to potential renters.

Amazing. The best.

We can't wait to visit again, the place is gorgeous and has everything you need. The service I received was so amazing and accommodating. This was probably the best experience I've had with holiday accommodation. Would definitely recommend and will surely be using Ferndale Lodge again in future.

The place was quiet and we had a peace of mind, we had access to Netflix for entertainment. It was clean and every kitchen item was at reach. The place is safe where we could all be at the back room and leave our front door open.

The place was a bit vintage and not that modernised, especially the rooms but it's beautiful. The lawn at the back was so big we literally sat up all night and spoke. The pictures provided did not justify the place enough.

WiFi was a plus and the extra amenities made the stay pleasurable.

Dit was lekker, baie spasie en rustig. Die kinders was in hul noppies en ek en my aanstaande was oor die wolke met die gemak van die huis. Sal dit oor en oor gebruik.

The house is huge, spacious and very neat!

It was such a pleasure staying at this house. The pics don't do justice at all, its so stunning! All utensils are provided, easily accessible, the owner is very friendly and professional. It is ideal for friends and family and not couples as there's about 2 beds in their bedrooms. Out of 10 I rate it 20!

Excellent value for money.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Ferndale lodge, even though it was short, only for the weekend. The host was super helpful and accommodation, even brought a little present for for grandmother, which really wasn't expected at all but I appreciate it truly. We were there as a family to celebrate my grandmothers 80th birthday, and she loved the place as well. Beautiful tranquil setting with a lush garden perfect for a peaceful outdoor breakfast. I would highly recommend Ferndale Lodge for a relaxing weekend away with family or friends. I will definitely be booking this place again.

The whole family had a great time, The only downside to the weekend at Ferndale Lodge was the weather! But we still had a great time, and decided we would have to book at this venue again to enjoy the pool and beautiful grass area to the fullest.

It is the place to be.

Ferndale Lodge is skoon en netjies. Daar is genoeg spasie met speelplek en speelgoed vir kinders. Ons was verras met 'n vars liter melk en 'n bottel water in die yskas! Baie bedagsaam aangesien ons ver gery het.

Alles was perfek. Alles wat ons nodig wou hê, ek sal definitief weer gebruik maak van Ferndale Lodge, maar die keer liewer vir familie wegbreek. Dis perfek vir 'n familie wat wil gaan ontspan.

Pragtige gesinshuis in 'n wonderlike woonbuurt naby alle geriewe.

Ons familie was hartlik verwelkom deur Barbra en gedurende ons verblyf by Ferndale Lodge het Barbra of Terence geen probleem gehad om uit te help met iets nie. Die gesinshuis is perfek geleë vir alle aktiwiteite en net twee minute se bestuur van die Constantia Village inkopiesentrum. Die huis self was baie skoon en daar was selfs skoonmaakmiddels, bottel water en melk alreeds in die yskas. Die huis het baie ruimte en die kinders het die groot agterplaas en swembad baie geniet. Die woonbuurt is baie veilig en daar is sekuriteitspersoneel by die ingang van die straat. Terence en Barbra was wonderlike gashere en ek sal Ferndale Lodge absoluut aanbeveel.

Big house on a good location.

The house was very big, so we had a lot of space, which was very nice. We were there in August, when it's winter and the house was cold. There were blankets available, but sometimes the outdoor temperature was higher than inside. In Cape Town there was a drought and the water had to be used sparingly in the house, which was communicated with a lot of notes hanging in the house.

Thank you for accepting us. We had a great weekend. Everything was in place. Really nice people. Would recommend anyone to visit Ferndale Lodge.

Gemaklike huis met 'n lieflike tuin.

Die eienaars was baie vriendelik en akkommoderend. Baie gemaklike huis met alles wat mens nodig het. Amper net die moeite werd om die huis te huur om onder daai enorme boom in die tuin te kan sit. Effense reuk van ou sigaretrook wat my vrou bietjie gepla het, maar ek kon dit nie juis ruik nie.

Abosulutely delightful house, garden, equipment and welcoming, for a very reasonable price.

It is a beautiful house, so much space, great garden, many different places where you can sit and have a meal: inside, outside in the garden or in between at the yard. Huge practical kitchen with all the equipment you may need. Everything is very clean as well. We felt welcome and very well taken care of. A big thank you. Looking forward to coming back.

Die plek was fantasties, alles netjies en skoon. Baie behulpsame bestuur en is altyd beskikbaar. Ons het 'n rustige naweek gehad met die familie en het onsself terdeë geniet. Sal beslis weer terug wees.

Had a fantastic stay. House very well equipped, perfect for anyone travelling away from home. Lots of little extra touches. Highly recommend.

Great property in a beautiful and safe location for a very low rate. We loved the garden and outside braai area. The service and attention to detail by the hosts, Barbara and Terrence, was incredible. The minute something was wrong they were just a text message away and everything was resolved. Overall great home for family with small kids, amazing garden and a great experience.
