Description
Originally built by the Ford and Melvill families, they share a deep appreciation for Eastern Cape heritage and the great outdoors. Ford Outpost was initially intended as a private retreat for family and friends but has now been opened as a special retreat for everyone to enjoy.
Offering a rustic African experience, while ensuring guest's comfort with thoughtful amenities, this camp can comfortably accommodate a total of 8 adults and 3 children. There are 4 tents which are either furnished with double beds or single beds. There are a few beds available in some of the tents which are suitable for children. There are 3 bathrooms which are all fitted with showers and 2 of these bathrooms are en-suite to 2 of the tents.
This camp has a main living tent which acts as the main living area and features a lounging space and a dining table where guests can enjoy their meals together. This tent also has a kitchenette equipped with a gas burner and a fridge. Each tent has its own little patio and the main tent also has a patio with a hammock.
Guests can gather around the firepit or take a dip in the splash pool to cool off on those hot summer days. Ford Outpost is nestled on a private farm next to one of the Eastern Cape’s exclusive Big 5 game reserves, just a stone’s throw from Kenton-on-Sea.
