House is nice and spacious and garden is big. When we arrived at the house just after 14h00 there was a cleaner still busy cleaning. There was also a gardener working. The garage gets used to do laundry. The cleaner was there until around 17h00. There is no info that states that there will be people working on the premises. We specifically booked the house to have quiet time and privacy, which was not so as the washing machines and dryers were going in the garage and the cleaning lady was busy working on the property. The gardener was busy chopping wood in the garden and working in the garden while we were there. We made a fire in the "Bosco" indoor fireplace, but it was a disaster with smoke. The door of the fireplace is supposed to be closed, but then there is no draught to keep the fire going, and the fire dies immediately when the fireplace door gets closed to prevent flames from coming outwards. When you open the door then the fire does get going but the whole house fills up with loads of smoke. We had to use the huge big fan to blow the smoke out of the area just to breathe. It was impossible to make a fire in the fireplace because of all the smoke that comes in every time we had to open the fireplace door. Very disappointing, as that is also one of the main reasons we booked the house, was because it had a fireplace. We were not informed before booking on the info that when it is load shedding, there is no water as the water comes from a borehole and the pump does not work during loadshedding. This also means that the loo also does not get water and that a person needs to plan to just bath or shower around loadshedding. After loadshedding the water did not get hot, so we only discovered on Saturday evening there was no hot water to bath or shower. The wifi and TV did work during loadshedding as it was connected to an inverter. On Saturday a security guard knocked on the sliding door at the front, which you could only get to via a locked front gate. He said that the beams around the property had gone off, which we did not set while we were at the property. Not sure if loadshedding affected it or what the problem was to set it off. Gave us a fright as we did not know security had access to unlock the gate. On Sunday morning the cleaning lady was there at 08h00 again to do laundry and the washing machines were going again in the garage with the cleaning lady on the property again. At some point, a male came knocking on the sliding door just after 08h00 on Sunday. He seemed to be someone involved with maintenance and he was talking about the circuit breaker and generator that is not correct. He went about doing whatever he was there to do on the property. Out of the blue, this person appears early morning on the property without anyone informing us. We did not request anyone to come. We were only supposed to book out at 10h00 on the Sunday morning. Very unpleasant experience as we wanted a break from people and noise and did not get that at all at this property. If we had the info beforehand that they use the garage as a laundromat and that there would be a gardener and cleaning lady there on the Friday until 17h00 and again on the Sunday, the laundry lady from early, we would never have booked this property. The guests' privacy is not respected by staff at this property. It took away the tranquility and privacy that we expected to have when booking at this property. We suggest that all the above is mentioned in the info section of the property so guests can make an informed decision when booking. We could not have a restful, quiet and private weekend. Disappointing and a waste of money!

'n Rustige plekkie in die Village waar mens weer jouself kan vind met die mooie natuur om jou.

Die Tsitsikamma is een van die mooiste dele in ons land en hier is so baie om te doen en te sien.

Baie rustig, skoon en gemaklik.

Baie beïndruk met die huis. Als baie mooi skoon en gerieflik ingerig.

Awesome accommodation in a naturally beautiful Storms River Village tourist area.

Forest Nest has all the amenities a tourist (overseas and local) can ask for. Sleeps six people. Self-catering house at the end/beginning of the forest has all the amenities for self-catering (even has a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher) Towels and soap are all provided. Wood for the indoor fireplace is provided, lovely and cosy in winter. Beautiful, well maintained garden with a undercover/outside braai area. Chairs and a table for 6 persons. Accommodation is safe and secure. Loved our homely stay at Forest Nest. We highly recommend this accommodation. When you stay at Forest Nest you get a discount if doing the canopy tours excursion and the Woodcutters Journey Forest Trip which includes a lunch, consisting of lasagne, salad, apple pie and cream. Coffee, tea and juice. A bottle of water is also provided.

Baie vriendelike ontvangs. Wooneenheid is baie gerieflik en netjies.

Ruim en gerieflike wooneenheid. Ons het slegs een nag daar oorgeslaap maar het dit baie geniet.

Great property for a group.

Well equipped, interesting property. Our dog loved the garden. Security was very good and it was great to watch DSTV after a week on the road.
