Franshoek Farm is nestled in the idyllic Witteberg Mountains in Ficksburg, in the Free State. The 900 hectare farm features fishing dams, a natural swimming pool with a landscape garden and a steam hut. The landscape is breathtaking with far-reaching views and there are many scenic day hiking trails which include a cave and waterfall area. This restful setting is the perfect getaway for families, friends and furry companions alike.

Accommodation is offered in 2 guest cottages. The Stables is a charming self-catering cottage located on a sandstone bluff with a spectacular view of the Witteberg Mountain Range. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and en suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and washbasin.

The Heart Cottage is a charming, open-plan cottage with a magnificent view that sleeps 2 guests. The bedroom has a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.

Both cottages have an open-plan kitchen equipped with a fridge, a gas stove and oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. There’s a dining table with chairs and the living area has a lounge suite with a freestanding fireplace. The verandas have outdoor furniture allowing guests to enjoy the amazing views of the landscape.
