We recently celebrated a very special occasion at this charming three-bedroom house in Onrus, near Hermanus—my wife's 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty and comfort of our temporary home. The house itself exceeded all our expectations; it was not only exceptional in its cleanliness and amenities but also offered a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us feel immediately at ease. The bedrooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all our family members who joined us. The ample parking was a convenient bonus, accommodating our guests without any hassle. What truly set this property apart, however, were the stunning, lush gardens at the front and back. These beautifully maintained outdoor spaces became our serene sanctuary during our stay, offering us a tranquil retreat where we could relax and celebrate together. The gardens were so delightful that we found ourselves preferring to stay in and enjoy our surroundings rather than venturing out. This house truly felt like a home away from home, providing the perfect backdrop for such a milestone celebration. We could not have asked for a more idyllic setting to gather with family and commemorate my wife's birthday. To anyone considering a stay here, we wholeheartedly recommend it. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a place where memories are made.

Heerlik gebly met baie goeie kommunikasie!

Accommodating, comfortable and safe.

We really enjoyed our stay and the comfort of the accommodation. We were very impressed with how "thought-through" the owners are in terms of what the house contains. Our pets enjoyed the space as well. Just a recommendation to extend the departure date on the Sunday as we felt very rushed to leave the premises and maybe have a thorough clean just before the accommodation is occupied to alleviate the little dust that smells in the cupboards and the air. Other than that, we have no complaints whatsoever, and only have good reviews about the accommodation.

Dit was heerlik geloop see toe en Milk restaurant toe en daar's 'n heerlike koffiewinkel naby.

Die huisie het alles wat ons sou kon nodig hê.

Oor die algemeen het ons die huis geniet, almal het lekker gebly. Die enigste probleem wat daar was, was die reuk van die verf wat skerp was in die huis, omdat die huis sopas uitgeverf was. Dit het gelei tot ons wat met oop vensters moes slaap.

Absolutely lovely in every way!

We really enjoyed our stay at Grundhoud and will book again for future trips. It was lovely to be able to see the sea from the lounge and main bedroom windows, and the view of the mountains from the back of the house was stunning! It is a very comfortable place and had all of the facilities that one needs to make a trip easy and stress-free. The open plan living area flows nicely and is perfect for a family holiday. I would recommend this to families or even groups who want to enjoy this beautiful part of the country.

A lot of space but a bit old.

Well organized and everything in the house worked fine. The house is only a bit older, and some of the rooms smell a bit moldy. But anyhow, still a nice house with a lot of space.

Lekker veilige plek vir ons hondekind!

Ons het heerlik gebly by Grundhound. Die agterkant van die huis is reg rondom omhein, en dit het ons rustig gemaak dat ons hondekind veilig was ter alle tye. Pragtige see- en berg-uitsig van die huis. Kombuis baie goed toegerus, met 'n heerlike binnebraai en 'n lekker kuiertafel.

Perfek, alles wat jy nodig het.

Dit is werklik 'n baie oulike plekkie. Ek het baie lekker gebly. Michelle is 'n wonderlike gasvrou en was altyd beskikbaar om te help as ek iets wou weet. Het baie veilig gevoel en dit was 'n pluspunt dat my vierpotiges kon saam gaan.

Absoluut waarde vir geld.

Ons het die huis terdeë geniet. Die feit dat ons die see kon sien was 'n bonus. Michelle die eienaar was ook baie behulpsaam.

Rustige naweek wegbreek om walvisse te kyk.

Ons het 'n heerlike gesinsnaweek geniet in Onrusrivier om my oudste dogter se verjaarsdag te vier. Dit was haar wens om die walvisse te kom kyk in Hermanus. Die huis was goed toegerus met alles wat ons benodig het. Die WiFi was 'n groot plus vir die tieners en hulle het die bordspeletjies ook geniet. Binne stapafstand van die strand en 'n heerlike roomys by Davie's Pool.

Fantasties.

Die huis is toegerus met alles wat jy nodig het. Gasvrou was baie behulpsaam. Ons het baie lekker gekuier en die vuurtjie het heeldag gebrand op die reëndae. Die see is ook stapafstand van die huis af.
