Description
Gumtree Guest House is located on the banks of the Grobbelaars River with views of the historic Suspension Bridge and Swartberg Mountains and our garden is a haven for many different types of birds. We are very central in town, only 2 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants.
All our rooms include air-conditioning , TVs, mini-bars, wall-safes, robes, and complimentary tea/coffee. All rooms have their own private external entrances. Our Superior Rooms open onto a wooden deck that overlooks the garden, Suspension Bridge and Swartberg Mountains. We do have 1 double room that can sleep an additional adult or 2 children on a double sleeper couch.
Breakfast is included in our rates and features fresh home-baked bread, fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, plus a hot breakfast of your choice. We are trying to offer as much local produce as possible in our breakfasts i.e. the bacon, sausage, milk, yoghurt, eggs, jams, and most of the cheese are locally produced.
Free Wi-Fi is available for guests to use in their rooms and on the decks. We offer secure onsite parking for guests. We have a large deck with swimming pool overlooking the river with wonderful sunsets. Our barbecue area is situated close to the pool and is often used by our guests , which is a superb location for an evening meal.
Amenities available to guests include laundry services, telephone, fax and e-mail facilities. We are fully licensed and offer a cosy bar which is ideal for pre-dinner cocktails or post-dinner nightcaps.
