Mostly pleasant, but disappointed with sewage issue.

The house was not that clean, with many patches of dirt around in the kitchen and living areas. The biggest issue was the sewage. The kids had a quick bath and on letting the water out, the sewage spewed out in the garden. This was only fixed around midday on Saturday. On letting the agent know of the situation, she assured us that the sewage levels were checked before we arrived. Someone didn't do their job or lied? It made sitting outside unpleasant. In the evening on Saturday, there was also a person peering over the wall with a flashlight. We felt unsafe.

Thank you for your review. Please note that all the houses in Arniston have septic tanks. That is why we only allow the 8 people as we advertised, and yes, we count the children too. As soon as there are more, the septic system cannot handle all the people and will overflow. We organised the pump to be emptied that Saturday morning. Just an observation... people that are 'skelms' will not use a flashlight. Yes, we have guards walking around, and they will carry flashlights. I am sure that is who you saw.
