Regretful.

Not the most pleasant stay, owner very unfriendly, helper did try to make it more pleasant, no privacy when using the pool. Not the holiday I expected for the amount we paid. Regretted booking it. The third bedroom is the domestic quarters changed around and was not even prepared when we arrived after check-in time.

In a word, adequate.

The braai area was first class, but the pool area attached to the main house did not feel private, so we didn't use it. We didn't realise that the only access to the downstairs bedroom was via an external staircase, so had to face the elements to get to the kitchen and living area above - would have preferred to have been on the same level with our children. A dirty, beaten-up pan was in the cupboard upon arrival despite the R 550 cleaning fee charged. The host replaced the pan, but it was too small to prepare anything for a family of four. Apparently self-catering, but lacking in basic equipment - not even a bowl for salad, nor a grater, and we had to ask for two wine glasses. No bathmats were provided in the shower rooms - a safety hazard due to a leaky shower - luckily we were able to borrow old towels from family to put on the floors to prevent slipping. Security lights from the neighbour shone mercilessly into the downstairs bedroom - we improvised a low-tech hack to block out the bright lights to make sleep possible.
