Hawklee Country House is located in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and provides unique B&B accommodation as well as self-catering options, including the first-ever "Bush Kitchen" in the Natal Midlands.
The owner-operated, luxurious cottages are furnished with flat-screen TVs, DStv, electric blankets, warm plush gowns, and hospitality packages. These standalone thatched cottages are nestled along the banks of the Lion's River, offering spectacular river views just a stone's throw away from the water. Hawklee also offers self-catering accommodations in the Rose Garden Cottage. Guests opting for self-catering can either have breakfast delivered to their cottage or enjoy it in the Country House dining room, where they can relax and take in the river views while dining.
Visitors have the opportunity to take short walks along the river, observe the rich birdlife, and spot Cape clawless otters in the water. The property is also home to various wildlife, including duiker, reedbuck, serval cats, mountain cats, and even the occasional leopard.
