Description

Heuwelsig Cottages and Franschhoek Camping offer lavish, self-catering cottages and boutique-style camping sites, with farm ambience, breathtaking views and memorable sunsets. All this is just 5 km outside the well-known village of Franschhoek, about an hour's drive from Cape Town.

Set in a unique location, against the shade of the Franschhoek Mountains, accommodation comprises of three luxurious self-catering cottages and eight separately fenced campsites, each with private ablutions and two campsites, with newly built, shared ablution.

All self-catering units are equipped with comfortable king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, kitchen or just kitchenette, smart TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi, private entrance, and secure parking. 80% Solar backup is available and the lights will be on during load shedding. Linen and towels are provided.

No pets, no ground tents or ground sheets are allowed at the campsite. The campsite is designed for motorhomes, but small caravans (no double axis) and rooftop tents are welcome.

Our campsites can accommodate 2 adults each, are situated on grass, and have a built gazebo for shade. They offer private ablutions, electrical points, water taps, portable BBQ facilities (bring your grid), and Wi-Fi at the hotspot. Solar back-up at the ablutions only during load shedding.

Some campsites are for adults only, so please make sure before making a reservation. Children are allowed by special arrangement only and they must be 10 years or older. Maximum stay for camping is 7 days only.

Kol Kol hot tubs can be rented, as an extra and need to be arranged at least 24 hours before arrival and is subject to availability. To cool down in the hot summer days, there is a sparkling fenced eco-pool at the bottom of the garden. Guests are afforded safe parking on the premises.

Nearby activities include horse riding, fishing, bird watching, wine tasting, cycling, game viewing, guided walks and mountain biking.
