Beautiful location but bring your 4x4 and fan.

It would have been great except we almost died in the unit. There were no fans and no bug mesh on any of the windows, which made sleeping extremely difficult. It was 39 degrees on the Saturday we were there. It's a beautiful setting, but the road is not suitable for anything except a 4x4 (no 4x2 SUVs either). My car, which is an MPV, is still being repaired as we cracked the casing of the starter motor on the roads there. The other family in the bigger unit had come down in their Polo and were also extremely concerned about how they would make it back to the main road.

Hi there, we are sorry to hear about your experience but would like to remind you that we state in our description that the roads are only suitable for 4x4/SUV. Normal SUVs/4x2 drive very comfortably on this road.

We did have a heatwave, yes, but usually the unit is very cool as it is covered in a tree canopy. We will definitely be purchasing a fan.

This guest broke one of our windows and burnt food in the unit, which left an impressionable smell.
