A comfortable old lady.

Loved the eclectic mix of old and modern. The outside area was lovely. Pool and braai area super. Bedrooms large and en-suites a plus. Nadja made us feel very welcome.

Baie mooi en gerieflike plek met baie spasie.

Sal enige iemand aanbeveel om sontoe te gaan. Jy voel sommer tuis en die eienaar is baie vriendelik en sy maak jou verblyf baie gerieflik. Sal enige tyd weer terug gaan.

Lovely stay!

We stayed over a weekend to enjoy Montagu and the surrounds - Easy check-in and a lovely house. We had all the amenities we were looking for - including WiFi. The kids enjoyed the pool although it was June and the braai area is great for a "kuier".

Old School Charm.

A traditional old school Montagu house, complete with creaking wooden floors. Great for a large group, but what's really nice is the backyard sun trap, complete with braai-lapa and beach pool! Heaven in summer.

Great place.

Had a great time. Kids loved the pool. House is spacious with en-suite bathrooms in each room. Could just relax for a few days.

A beautiful home with everything you need to relax.

Our stay at John Montagu was perfect right from the point of arrival. Our host, Nadja, was super accommodating and friendly and made us feel right at home immediately. The house was in immaculate condition and we had absolutely no issues during our stay to make it unpleasant. We experienced one two hour load shedding session, which was not difficult at all as Nadja surprised us by dropping two lanterns for us. Although we could not make use of the pool due to the weather, we will certainly be back to enjoy it in the near future. A perfect 10 star rating would not be enough as all our expectations were pleasantly exceeded. We will also happily refer the house to all our friends and family. Thank you again Nadja, see you again soon!

Die vinnige terugvoer van John, en René se gasvryheid het verseker dat ons 'n heerlike uitrusnaweek kon hê. Ons het heel party interessante toeriste daar ontmoet en sal dit graag aanbeveel vir diegene wat wil wegbreek om 'n "no fuss no frills" naweek te geniet.

A one night stay at a friendly place, but slightly less than we had expected.

We stayed at the John Montagu Guesthouse on the way to Knysna, coming from Cape Town. Our host was friendly and served us well. The house did not meet our expectations and was not quite what we thought it would be, based upon the pictures and description.

Die ontbyt is lekker!

It was just what we needed! Peaceful!

Ons het die "view" baie geniet. Berge het baie kalmte in ons gebring. Dis regtig 'n goeie wegbreekplekkie, weg van die stad se lawaai en gewoel. Alles was net perfek, van die kamer tot by die ontbyt. Die mense is baie vriendelik en baie behulpsaam, dit was opreg gewaardeer. Thank you for a wonderful time spent. You will definitely see us again. We have really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic break

Very relaxed and welcoming place. Couldn't recommend it enough. Mauveen who runs the place is amazing!

Oornag in Route 62.

Heerlike rustige oornag in Victoriaanse weelde. Die huis het karakter. Veilige omgewing en stapafstand na winkels en restaurant. Goeie waarde vir geld.

Gerieflike kamers, lekker ontbyt.

Die gastehuis is baie lekker.
