Description

Kambro Accommodation & Farm Stall is situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N12, 21 km north of Britstown towards Kimberley. Wonderful farm accommodation in the Karoo.

There are 10 self-catering chalets with air conditioning as well as 6 grassed caravan sites, and 2 camp spots. The self-catering units each have a private braai, electricity, clean ablution blocks with warm water, and wash-up facilities.

There is a playground for children. Ideal for bird watching and hiking. Safe parking at the chalet. Escape the December and January heat by taking a cool, refreshing dip in the dam.

Although the accommodation is self-catering, breakfast and dinner are served on request. Guests can enjoy their own braai under the stars. Each chalet has its own private braai. Please note that small pets are only allowed in some of the units and by arrangement.

There is a Farmstall on the premises. In the air-conditioned Restaurant, guests can relax and enjoy some light meals. The restaurant closes at 16:00 but guests can order takeaways from the menu. Homemade pies are a much sought-after item and are available in Springbok, lamb, and chicken. We are fully licensed and guests who stay overnight can enjoy a beer or some fine wine. Guests receive a WhatsApp on the day of arrival with all the options for dinner. We do serve breakfast as well. Guests in Caravan Park can order homemade bread. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The Farmstall sells a wide range of jams, chutneys, canned fruits, dried fruits, quince sweets, fruit sweets, gifts, homemade ginger beer, lemon syrup, books, rusks, biscuits, spices, and much more. There is alos a wide selection of raw or cooked offal, lamb tails, baked quiches, stuffed leg and saddle of Springbok, recipes included, boerewors, homemade butter, kebabs, skilpadjies, etc.

Experience real Karoo hospitality on the farm. Guests in the chalets are treated with complimentary homemade bread and butter as well as tea and coffee as part of the service.
