Die grot was netjies en skoon, toegerus met alles wat jy mag benodig. Sal definitief weer gaan. 'n moet vir jou 'Bucket list'.

Definitief een van die plekke met die mooiste aansigte, wat nie deur 'n foto beskryf kan word nie. Sal definitief weer gaan en 'n bietjie langer bly.

Experience of a lifetime.

Hierdie was beslis een van ons bucket list bestemmings, dis 'n moet ervaring! Van die oomblik dat ons daar aangekom het, was die gasvryheid van Rencia en Danie ongelooflik. Ons is dadelik tuis laat voel en dit het gevoel asof ons vir famielie kom kuier! Die grot was alles en meer as wat die foto's voorgestel het. Die verblyf was tip top, die eenheid was perfek netjies en skoon, die kombuis was toegerus met alles wat jy moontlik kon nodig hê! Ons het hout gevra en dit was by die eenheid toe ons daar gearriveer het! Ons het ook ekstra hout vir ons volgende aand gevra, en sonder moeite het Danie dit vir ons na die eenheid gebring - front door service! Rencia en Danie het seker gemaak ons het alles wat ons nodig het om hierdie een van die mees onvergeetlike ervarings ooit te maak! Ek kan hierdie bestemming beslis aanbeveel vir die "experience of a lifetime" en "kos vir jou siel"! Melinda en Koos.

Breath-taking, need to see, a "must" experience for any nature lover.

Woorde om die ervaring te beskryf ontbreek my. No words to describe our amazement. Waar begin ek. Lees die reels. Baie belangrik. Gelukkig het ons mooi gelees. Ons 4x2 Isuzu bakkie met diff lock het ons beslis nie in die steek gelaat nie. Ons was bietjie benoud sienende dat ons nog nooit "Offroad" gedoen het nie, maar die senuwee-tergende rit was beslis die moeite werd. Met ons aankoms op die plaas het ons baie vriendelik ontvang en mooi touwys gemaak. Met ons aankoms by die grot woning was ons asem weggeslaan met alles. Die uitsig, die vakmanskap en God se skepping rondom ons. Al wat ek kan se is dat geen foto jou die ware gevoel/belewenis kan gee nie. Gaan kyk en voel vir jouself. Beslis 'n merkie op jou bucketlist werd.

The road to the cave is rough, and a 4x4 is recommended. However, the rough road leads to a beautiful, secluded, exclusive cave with a magnificent view. The cave house is neatly built with a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is well equipped and the interior is comfortable and neat. It offers everything you need and even more! There's an additional outside shower and bath on the edge for an extra adventurous experience. Lovely braai area and a long, beautiful balcony with an unlimited spectacular view. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Wow, it is amazing.

After turning off the tar road, it is a substantial drive along a very scenic gravel road to arrive at the farmhouse. When we arrived at the farmhouse, we received a very warm welcome and assistance with storing our trailer on the farm. We were directed to the cave by our hosts. Although the drive to the cave was quite rough, it is possible without a 4x4, but plenty of ground clearance and a diffloc combined with experience is essential. A high 4-wheel drive vehicle with a diffloc would be the ideal choice for this terrain and will leave you less concerned about how you will be getting out of there after your stay. Arriving at the cave is a breath-taking experience; the view is amazing, and the sheer cliff drop-offs even more so. The cave itself is fantastic, with great care given to all the details. We found the cave perfectly clean and tidy with all the essentials needed for your stay. Walking through the sliding door onto the veranda is mind-blowing, and although it is a 75m sheer drop, there is a secure handrailing which will leave you quite comfortable at that height. We are regular travellers and are always on the lookout for unusual places to visit. This cave is one of the most spectacular and unusual visits we have had. For the hiker, there are endless opportunities, and for the 4x4 enthusiast, there is an 18km trail which will not disappoint. In a nutshell, we found this to be great value for money and an all-round awesome experience. We will definitely be visiting the cave again and would like to give a big thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Baie oulike plekkie, veral vir 'n romantiese wegbreuk vir 2. Die uitsig is ongelooflik mooi! Die kaggel is lekker, veral omdat die wind nogals woes kan waai daar bo. Beslis 'n 4x4 nodig om daarbo uit te kom. Voel of jy een is met die natuur en ervaar God se grootheid werklik daarbo!

Wonderful accommodation but no handrailings on access.

The accommodation at the cave is first class but we had to turn back due to safety concerns with the access walkway to the cave. The walkway is on a fairly narrow ledge adjacent to a very high cliff but no handrailing is provided between the cliff and the walkway. A railing is provided on one short section of the walkway, but it is provided on the wrong side of the walkway and not on the side of the cliff. The walkway is also fairly uneven which increases the chances of a person tripping and falling (which could be a fatal experience). We were able to reach the accommodation by walking very slowly and carefully and holding on to the rock face! However, we were unable to carry any of our luggage and food to the cave. The wind was also extremely strong and we had to cling with both hands to whatever holding place was available. We have requested a refund from the owners but were informed that their house rules do not allow persons with disabilities or children younger than 14 years at the cave. We should also have seen this on the photos. However, these house rules are only made available after arrival at the site and no warning is provided anywhere that the cave is unsuitable for infirm persons. No photos are provided of the access walkway to the cave. A further issue that luckily did not affect us, is that the road to the site does require a vehicle with offroading capabilities as well as a driver that has experience with offroading. We would not recommend it for anyone with a soft-roader. There should be a warning that makes it clear to visitors that the cave is only suitable for persons with vehicles with offroading capabilities and not for infirm or older persons, persons with disabilities or young children. Photos should be provided showing the condition of the access road as well as the walkway to the cave.

Unbelievable, breath-taking view. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Wow!

Make sure that you set aside sufficient time to get to the cave as the drive along the farm road is slow. The final 2.6km requires 4x4 & low range in some areas. The accommodation is absolutely special, with unbelievable, breath-taking views. After 3 days up there, one remains in awe of the view. Normally, one has to hike for hours & pitch a tent to achieve views of this magnitude, but King's View Cave offers this from the comfort of the lounge area - absolutely awesome! I will definitely make an effort to visit again.

Ons maak 'n punt daarvan om elke vakansie 'n nuwe plek te verken. Ons land het baie mooi plekke, maar hierdie is definitief een van die top verblyf en rustigste plekke.

Wees voorbereid op 'n breekfooi wat jy eers weke later terugkry. Weet ook dat jy 'n 4x4 nodig het, al sê die eienaars ook voor die tyd wat. Ons het 2 dae nie krag gehad nie en daar is nie WiFi soos geadverteer word nie.
