Description
This charming thatched cottage is located in a tranquil nature conservancy nestling up against the southern boundary fence of the world acclaimed Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. A five minute walk (~150 metres) from the cottage will get you to an elevated view over the Crocodile River into the Kruger Park.
Marloth Park properties are unfenced and contain a diverse range of wildlife that roams freely among the houses. Be enthralled by the giraffe, warthog, zebra, impala, monkeys and kudu as well as the abundant bird life as you sit at the lapa or in the pool. At night you can listen to the roar of the lions and hear the grunting hippo in the nearby Crocodile River and Kruger National Park while sitting around the fire or under the lapa.
Kruger Cottage is situated in Marloth Park, approximately an hour’s drive (105 km) from Mbombela (Nelspruit) and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and a five hour drive from Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport).
Enjoy an exclusive-use, self-catering, three bedroom/three bathroom thatched cottage with vaulted ceilings. The main en-suite has a double bed and the other two rooms each have two single beds and en-suite bathrooms. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge which enables the house to sleep eight. The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge are spacious and lead onto a large thatched entertainment area with a splash pool and braai where you can relax and watch the game wandering through the gardens. All windows have mosquito netting and are monkey proof. Powerful ceiling fans are fitted in the bedrooms and the living area. A double carport is available.
The house has an alarm and Field Security provide around-the-clock rapid response service.
You will be conveniently located near the Crocodile Bridge (Komatipoort) and Malelane entrance gates to the Kruger National Park. Kruger Cottage is well-positioned for exploration into neighbouring countries: approximately one hour from the Swaziland border and 20 minutes from the Mozambique border.
A drive along the nearby Crocodile River will enable you to view the abundant game and birdlife through the fence in the Kruger National Park. Marloth Park also has its own fenced game reserve, Lionspruit, which contains the more dangerous animals, including lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard.
Marloth Park has its own local village with restaurants, a pub with big screen TV, large swimming pool, filling station, laundry (self-serve or pay by the kg), liquor store, butcher, home-baked goods, and two mini supermarkets for essential items.
