Place to unwind with wonderful hosts.

Beautiful remote location. Would love to have had more time to hike on the farm and in the mountains. Definitely a place to spend more than one night.

Excellent location for peace and tranquility, enjoyed my short stay.

I spent just one night at this lodge as I used it as a stopover. Really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Will definitely look at booking here again.

Short and serene.

It was a weekend where friends met to catch up and this was a perfect destination for that. Road is tough but fair warning of the terrain so no excuse not to get out there! Far out and remote with the quiet serenity of nature and stunning views of a dam at eye level, as it meets the mountain and incredibly blue skies.

Mooiste natuurskoon met die gesondste forelle!

Lower groen natuurskoon tussen honderde skape, lammertjies en beeste. Absolute gasvryheid, elke oomblik. Kersie op die koek is die gesondste en lewendigste reënboog en bruin forelle, niks kleiner as 1.5 kg. Beslis 'n deel van ons mooi land om te sien.

Heerlik, die omgewing en fasiliteite geniet.

Die binnekant van die eenheid waarin ons gebly het kan doen met 'n goeie skoonmaak en 'n bietjie opknap/beter onderhou word.

Ideal destination for a long weekend away from city life.

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the comfortable and spacious chalet overlooking the beautiful trout dam. All our needs had been considered from a bag of rusks on our arrival, to a huge bag of firewood for the braai and the indoor fireplace - we were at home from the moment we arrived. Kirsten and her family are very friendly and they did their best to make our stay a pleasure. Loadshedding has become a status quo unfortunately, but they provided a gas plate option and several rechargeable lights to assist us when the power was off. We enjoyed fishing at the two trout dams and luckily our efforts were rewarded with several good catches. It was so secluded on the farm and we enjoyed exploring the paths and fields that surrounded the chalet. On one of the days, it was misty and rainy and we were able to relax in the comfy living area and play cards and Jenga and even watch some cricket on our computer because they very kindly supply wi-fi to the chalet! We would definitely recommend this as a lovely getaway for a family with teenagers.

Ongelooflike mooi omgewing.

Als is groen, en so ver as wat die oog kan sien is dit ongerepte natuur. Die berge rondom en die natuurlike valleie is prentjie-mooi. Vreeslike mooi veldblomme. Dit is skoon en vars lug en heerlik om by die tafel te sit in die son. Mens kan sien die boer is lief vir sy boerdery. Voorstel: indien moontlik. sny 'n stappaadjie na die dam en rondom die dam, dit sal dit net makliker maak om by die dam uit te kom wat voor die chalet is. Om die dam ten volle te geniet, dalk 'n bankie of twee. Hy en sy vrou is baie vriendelik en gaaf. Ons het regtig baie lekker ontspan en gekuier.

Goeie ontspanning, pragtige uitsig.

Bietjie ver op die grondpad maar die moeite werd, het dit baie geniet.

Beautiful farm setting.

Our family had a fantastic time staying over in the Rainbow Trout chalet, overlooking the dam. We enjoyed canoeing, hiking in the mountain, forests and rock pool areas, watching the new born lambs and seeing 1700 sheep being fed. Kirsten and Eckart are very friendly, informative hosts and it was interesting to learn about their german community, Lüneburg. Highly recommended for a true farm stay.

Farmstay in a beautiful location.

Peaceful and relaxing, overlooking a beautiful trout dam. Walking in the surrounding hills possible.

Om weg te kom van die stad se gejaag is die perfek. Geen TV behalwe bosveld TV.

Heerlik gerus, ons is so jammer ons het nie maar nog 'n ekstra aandjie gebly nie. Die wind het lekker rof gewaai wat ons sou forseer om meer te rus en dalk net games te speel, glasie wyn te drink en die kaggel te benut. Was werklik heerlik, lekker gestap en explore. En trout was daar gevang.

Heerlik ontspan! Netjies, met 'n mooi uitsig oor die dam. Ons het die tydjie baie geniet.

Pragtige berge, ideaal om te stap en fiets te ry. Die kinders geniet die plaas, die dam, die roeiboot, en veral die diere. Goeie plek om af te skakel en weg te breek van die gewoel van die lewe.

Superb scenery.

The cottages are well equipped with a huge veranda to sit on and stare out over the dam and mountains. The drive up into the mountains is great fun with such beautiful scenery. Our young children enjoyed driving along to help feed the sheep and being able to just run and run and run. We will be back.

Natuur pragtig!

Die natuurskoon is absoluut fantasties. Enigste negatief was dat die eenheid nie skoon was nie!

Die mees gasvrye mense wat ons nog ontmoet het!

Uitstekend, manjifiek, uitstekend.

Dit was 'n besonderse lekker romantiese plek. Perfek vir ons wittebrood.

Die mense was baie vriendelik en het selfs ekstra moeite gedoen omdat ons op ons wittebrood was. Dit is so rustig en mooi op die plaas.
