House Rules

1. Identity requirements will be required at check-in and/or sent beforehand to the property manager:
Both South African & International guests: Driver’s License OR Valid passport
For South Africans: The above is required, plus proof of residence (e.g. Cell phone bill or Municipality bill etc.)
No entry will be allowed if the above is not supplied.

2. The property has an inverter which powers emergency lights and the TV. The WiFi is also not affected by power outages. The bedside lamps have rechargeable bulbs. Mobile devices are also able to be charged.

3. If daily cleans are requested by guests - We employ a professional 3rd party cleaning company, on the cleaning day between 10:00 and 14:00. Please make sure that there are ideally no guests present during the cleaning day or a minimal amount present. This just makes the process less impactful on your stay experience. Guests must please exit the room when the cleaning service arrives. Guests are not allowed to employ their own domestic cleaning services to clean the property during their stay. This is prohibited for obvious security risks for all involved, including the premises and contents. Security on premises will be monitoring breaches, and if found will require immediate vacation of the unit the following day or lockout to apartment block occurring.

4. During check-in – any guests who present themselves at check-in who do not represent the booking guest and/or who we feel have misrepresented the true guest who will occupy the premises will be denied property entry. We will be triangulating ID/Passport to guest check-in, to 3rd party booking site details. All guests checking in must be present at check-in or property keys will not be handed over.

5. Security Lockbox/safes are provided in bedroom cupboards to store any items you feel need additional security.

6. Only 4 guests are allowed to sleep in the unit – no more. The security guard on duty will be monitoring this and reporting any violations to the property manager, upon which the front door will be remotely locked, and guests asked to vacate.

7. Please leave all used towels & bedding on the beds (do not strip) when checking out.

8. Parking is in the Basement at no 96 for dedicated parking. The park upstairs is for spare cars near security. Follow check-in procedures at the front security guard before proceeding to the apartment.

9. Refuse removal is done on Mondays and Thursdays (leave the refuse bag outside the apartment door and it will be picked up by a cleaning staff member). On any other day, navigate downstairs to the large white security gate entrance & throw your trash in the large green refuse bins.

10. Please adhere to check-in (15:00 to 19:00) and check-out (before 10:00) times and leave keys at security. No exceptions are allowed for check-out time as we have cleaners coming in and new guests. Please plan appropriately as you will be unable to leave your luggage in the apartment or at security downstairs.

11. No wet feet/sand in lifts. No smoking in the apartment – only on the balcony. No noise after 22:30. No stag/hen parties or violence, drunken behaviour towards neighbours will be tolerated.

12. You acknowledge you are booking a property that does not have an air conditioning unit and during the summer months, some days might be uncomfortable. The cool Atlantic Ocean breeze typically mitigates this issue. During winter, use the heaters provided in the unit.

13. The Main Booking guest is responsible for all other guests and the deposit will be taken off any credit cards used in the booking process if breakages are found.

14. Any violations of the above will result in all access devices being remotely locked by the property manager and guests asked to vacate the unit under supervision. The security guard on duty and neighbours will be monitoring compliance with complex rules and guests’ behaviour.
