Lovely and inviting.

Accommodation was lovely, host was friendly and helpful with good recommendations of things to do in the town. Felt cozy and safe in the venue. Parking on street only option.

Privaat, rustig, stil en mooi.

Very bad experience and reflection on Franschhoek.

Terrible, rude host. No secure parking. The host refused to return the aircon remote after loadshedding, leaving the room hot and stuffy. Worst experience ever! This place is a disgrace and has terrible reviews on other sites too! Thank you to the website for the refund and alternative accommodation!

Disappointing!

Advertised: secure parking, oven & air conditioning (heat), but none of it was available. Our car had to be parked outside between two roads, which was inconvenient and unsafe. We struggled with the WiFi until late. The place was very humid and more compact than the pictures suggested. The host was also slow to respond at times. There is a need to get a toaster, and there was only one sharp knife and a bread knife. She only left a few pieces of wood for the fireplace, which burnt within 2 hours. There should be proper fireplace wood available for purchase on site. We left after one night as the place is not suited for rainy and windy weather. The host sent us a picture after we left of the flooded walkway to the unit and said we did the right thing to leave. Additionally, all the correspondence stated the check-in time is 2pm, but on the day she said it's 3pm. We could not stay there for the remaining two nights due to the weather, with our car parked on the street as there was no warm air conditioning or oven to cook with. My wife couldn't sleep due to the humidity, and the host just said to leave the windows open in icy weather. Air conditioning would have helped. This is unacceptable. We expect a refund, please. By the owner's own admission, we couldn't stay.
